got to attend the game in WF this weekend. it was rather enjoyable because Kraemer's girl wasn't there! There was no foul language and no beer drinking around where I was sitting. Kraemer even played better without her there, still resulted in a loss for the Wildcats but they played better than I have seen in a long time.

How do you know she wasn't there, she could have been sitting in a different spot

hockeychick,

You seem obsessed with Kraemer and/or who he dates or how she behaves or talks. Could it be you are really a WF puck bunny and he wasn't interested in you?

My source in WF tells me that the woman you're referring to as "Kramer's Chick" is married and the mother of two children. She WAS at the game.

Kramer's dad was at the game. Is it possible that a boy would want to play REALLY well when their parent was there to see them?

I have a prescription for your obsession with Kramer: Every time you look in the mirror (if you don't break it), repeat three times "I am a psychotic groupie who obsessed with Kyle Kramer and has no life. I am a psychotic groupie who obsessed with Kyle Kramer and has no life. I AM A PSYCHOTIC GROUPIE WHO IS OBSESSED WITH KYLE KRAMER AND HAS NO LIFE."

What is really sad is that there are groupies at this level.

I think the guys having groupies at this level is good training for them. The younger kids need someone to look up to, the young girls could do ALOT worse some of these young men. But, the having to deal with groupies is something they will need to deal with all their professional lifes, if they stay in hockey... right? Laughing

I agree with you to a certain extent. What I was referring to are the girls who just want to "do" players, which is sad to me at any level. I know a 17 yr old TT player that had to take out a restraning order last yr because of a stalker. My 12 yr old has 17-18 yr old girls follow her and try to befriend her just because they know her brother plays and the kids are over often. I also know of a 17 yr old girl who's goal is to try to screw as many of the kids as possible. THAT is what I was referring to as SAD!!!

We have some girls like that here too, I think that every team has those girls, and it is SAD, but they just do it for attention, and they just need to grow up.

I never thought I'd do this, but I have to speak up in Rachel's defense. The restraining order did not involve her.

I do not know the female's name and will not go into specifics on-line. Just trying to make a point.

I don't think groupies at this age is necessarily a good thing on a number of fronts. I sat behind a group of 20-30 year old women at one of our games in Texarkana. They were talking about who was going to be paired up with who (17 year old boys!). I worry about the boys picking up an easy score with some sleaze who is a typhoid Mary and making a mistake that will be with them the rest of their lives. I have big issues with women who not only allow their daughters to dress like hookers at hockey games (come on--when it's 50 degrees in the arena, backless shirts and skimpy skirts are ridiculous and obvious), but encourage them to throw themselves at the guys. When the boys were living with me, I worried about stalkers. We found it disconcerting that these girls have no lives other than the boys. My daughter had a lot of new "friends" the first year we took players in. The girls who never had anything to do with her showed up in droves, dressed to kill, 7 days a week. As my daughter put it, "they're just hockey players." Although I have also seen this behavior up here, it's not as prevalent and the girls at least dress like they're going to a hockey game and not to pick up any guy at a bar.

I don't know that I've seen too many moms encourage the girls, but a lot of moms, once the girls hit junior high age take the attitude their "job is done." Those girls are dropped off at the arenas (with no adult supervision) & picked up after the game. The parents don't have a clue what their daughters are doing or how they are acting.

My friends and I really HATED our moms in junior high. We wanted off that leash - BAD!!!!!! Do you know what they said? "You are only issued one reputation. A damaged reputation cannot be repaired." Sheesh! (Don't tell our moms, but they were right!)

My mom was the same way when I was in Jr High and I hated my mom for it, but I think I grew up better for it, and she was right, you have to protect your rep, because in the first 7 seconds you meet someone, they form 11 different opinions of that you, so protect yourself. I am friends with some of the guys and they hate being followed all of the time, they are here to play hockey and to get a scholarship, not to be stalked.

How did you become friends with them? Grow up with them? Lifelong friends?

One of the guys is dating my best friend, and we all hang out together. When you love the game, know about the game, and you aren't there just for the guys, it is just easy to become good friends with them.
