All-Star Game

Have any plans been announced for the All-Star game this year? I can only assume it will be North/South vs West/Central or something along those lines. A date and venue would be nice to know...

Nobody has replied because you didn't slam another team (preferrably Wichita Falls or Texas, but Texarkana would do in a pinch). If you'd said either one of those teams sucks, or their players are cute, or the coach was a jerk, you'd have had plenty of responses.

To seriously answer your question, I have not heard anything. And yes, it would be nice to know something. Other leagues announce this kind of stuff nearly a year in advance.

One guess might be that it will be in Texas again, especially if they keep last year's format of league champions vs. the All-Stars. But that's just a guess.

I think we are all in the dark about this one. I have not heard anything about an All-Star game and there is nothing in the schedule either.

If they want to make it fair at all it will be the South against everyone else.

It drives me crazy that the NAHL doesn't announce events like the All-Star game or playoff format until right before they happen. The idea behind the All-Star game is to gather all our best players in one location for college scouts to take a look at right? Wouldn't you want to announce the details way ahead of time so that they can make plans to attend...

I'm with ya on that one! I would love to be able to plan way in advance to take time off from work to attend the All Star game.

as far as scouts go there are a ton that come to the allsatr game no matter how short of a notice they get....so no one really needs to worry about them

Keep an eye out for February 27-March 1. There are no league games during that period. I wouldn't be surprised if teams were advised in the summer not to schedule games over that span.

My understanding is that there is NOT going to be an all star game this year but I can't say for certain.

I don't think there will be an All-Star game this year, but the Tornado may have another Pros vs Prospects game. They'll probably have to use retired pros this year, since they're not locked out.
