Article on Blazers Website - Notice no mention of Fleck?

BLAZERS EARN WILD WIN IN WICHITA

The Oklahoma City Blazers, began a stretch of four games in five nights with a wild 5-4 shootout win over the Wichita Thunder on December 27 in Wichita.

The Thunder led 4-0 with just over two minutes to play in the second period on the strength of three second period goals. The Blazers began their comeback with a penalty shot goal by Justin Chwedoruk at the 17:19 mark of the second.

The third period saw the teams combine for well over 100 penalty minutes and many broken plays. The Blazers got the score to 4-2 with a Tim Earl power-play goal at the 9:19 mark of the third. A Ryan Johnston power-play goal with just over two minutes left to play drew the Blazers to within one. Jared Dumba got the game to an unlikely score of 4-4 with a goal with 15 seconds to play in the game.

Neither team could light the lamp in the overtime. In the shootout, Garrett Prosofsky and Michel Beausoleil each scored. Goaltender Sebastien Centomo stopped all four Thunder shooters to preserve the victory.(link to boxscore)

The teams combined for 215 penalty minutes on the night, the eighth highest penalty minute total in this heated rivalry. The win for the Blazers was the 100th since the revival of the CHL. The Blazers are the first team in CHL history to record 100 wins against a single franchise.

The Blazers next game is December 29 in the beginning of a home-and-home series with the Bossier-Shreveport MudBugs in Shreveport. The back half of that series is December 30 in Oklahoma City. The Blazers and Thunder renew hostilities on New Year's Eve in Oklahoma City at the Cox Convention Center.

Incredible - The article makes no mention at all of Fleck and his "Intent to injure" penalty. The way the story reads you would think that the Thunder just simply fell apart and the Blazers had another amazing come from behind victory. The league needs to do something about the entire Blazers organization. They are all goons and someone is going to be seriously injured because of their tactics.

Travis - I hope you make a speedy recovery!

what did you expect them to do? Im sure they didnt even have a writer at the game from that paper. it was probably written by one of the blazer staff memebers hence no mention of fleck they just passed the story onto the sports writer and he re wrote it a little so he could say it was his story

LOGGING ONTO THE GR CHL FORUM AND YELLING AT PEOPLE, WITH ALL CAPS, DOESN'T HELP YOUR 'RESPECT' ARGUMENT VERY MUCH.

A more civilized manor, such as this would do fine.

haven't you noticed that people who wear helmets most of the time talk in a VERY LOUD TONE!?!?!

please guy.. just sit quietly ... as I said before... one of your handlers will be along soon to adjust your helmet. and after that.. they will take you on a ride on that cute little short bus... to a place where you can ride the ponys.

Please stop yelling.....I believe the majority of Thunder fans believe that most Blazer fans are great people who enjoy a good hockey game. The few folks being reffered to are the ones who did show a lack of class....I agree the Thunder have their share of idiot fans as well. I would never label every single Blazer fan an ass, but the ones who seemed to enjoy watching Clayton bleeding on the ice sure showed their ass on Tuesday night. As for your earlier comment about Clayton taking of Fleck himself....well, that is hard to do when Fleck cheap shots you and lays you out on the ice....if calling Travis a crybaby makes you feel better than I am happy for you. I think if you asked around the entire league you would discover that he is one of the most respected guys around........I dont think you would hear those things about Fleck

He broke Duda's wrist with a nasty slash, the next season Duda missed several games from another Fleck slash to the hands.

When we play Fleck he tees up on Duda and Clayton, since we usally do nothing about it, I can't say I blame the guy for trying to get our stars off the ice.
