When will the Avalanche name their coach for next year? Thought they would do it before the draft.

They have a "verbal" commitment from their guy. He is supposed to fly up sometime soon to check things out and make it official.

Where do you keep hearing Boitz? Why would he leave NI with the Robertson Cup being held there? Just does not fit in my opinion.

All I know is their "top guy" is not an Alaskan and is experienced. I've heard a lot of names and none, including Boitz have been confirmed or denied, so I'm going to keep the weak rumors off of here until something is more definite. Expect to hear something from the team or league soon though...
