B's Place Fernandez on Long Term IR; Assigned to P-Bruins..

Boston, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today that the team has placed goaltender Manny Fernandez on the long term injured reserve list and has assigned Fernandez to the Providence Bruins (AHL) for a conditioning stint.

Fernandez has played four games for the Bruins this season, maintaining a record of 2-2-0 and a goals-against average of 3.93.

I wonder who will play between Him and ANdy Franck who was called up to the p-bruins from the CHL team here and andy hasnt lost a game w/ the bruins yet soo will fernandez get to see a lot of playing time? or will we get Franck back!

With Thomas back and Auld playing real steady since acquired from Phoenix...

Might be a good position for the B's to have such a choice...
