is in the midst of his first season as a professional. In 40 games played this year with the Thunder, he has established himself as one of the CHL’s toughest customers, piling up 19 major penalties (tied for the third most in the CHL) and 191 penalty minutes. He has also scored one goal this season, finding the back of the net in Wichita’s 5-2 win over Youngstown on December 29, 2005.

apparently that is standard lingo "one of the toughest" haha not so sure about that. guess it should have said he has the heart of a giant and takes punches like a speedbag.

Best of luck to him at least he won't be handing out towels on the thunder bench while someone else pulls his shifts.

well he doesn't look like much of a fighter based on his PIM

and since we gave them Bain and a future I wouldn't think he's that talented.

that's it

from Joel:

Since my honesty is sometimes questioned, let me say that if you dont believe me...feel free not to I did keep a few people in the loop today and they now we tried to make several moves. Phones were very active today and I know some major trades between a few teams also fell thru. I dont know for sure, and its not my business to say what CHL moves actually did go thru today, though we dont expect much. All that being said:

The Thunder made one move today: Fort Worth has already announced it...Chris Bain to Fort Worth for defenseman Andrew Nahirniak. Have at it!

hell gametime I'm surprised they got anyone to take Bain to begin with. Besides heart and willingness to drop the gloves there isn't much else in that package. i figured it would take a two for one and guess it did with the future consideration added in.

I dont mean that in a fighting sense, l mean along the boards, and moving guys from the crease if need be.

The other is guy pretty big but if he tries he still may be able to fit into our soft style of play.

Hey joel how are you going to talk about how tough we are since you just traded 75% of the Majors away!

Is it still a coincident that Duda and Clayts had thier best years (post Wells) ever last year? Oh that was the same year we had a legit enforcer!

Well stoney, hopefully bain will get some icetime and maybe actually be able to contribute to the brahamas instead of pulling splinters out of his ass!
he wasnt a great fighter but he had heart, and thats more than some of the other current players have been showing of late.

hope the new guy works out. would be sad to see a guy of his size turn out to be one of those soft passive d-men.

guess there just wasn't anyone out there to trade for or pick up on waivers. Rolling Eyes

Hope this new guy works out.

Hell he's got to see more than 1 shift a game to make a difference.

well considering we have only been playing with 5 d-men surely he will see some ice time. i wonder how much that may have contributed to our recent funk?

hope this guy doesnt turn out to be another "cone"!
