I see on Heisenberg's site that Cal has committed to Ohio State for next fall.

Man, how come all our good players up and leave STL? Now we gotta find another goalie. I was hopin' to have Cal around another year, he and Mike make a great pair in goal.

Congrats....too bad we never got to make a claim on him.

Not a huge fan of OSU....or more their fans...but still a top notch campus and will be right there in the backyard of the Blue Jackets.

Congratulations Cal!! Hopefully they will not do to you what they did to Jordan Mowbry a couple of years ago by promising him something and telling him there was nothing there later on for him.

Very good news!

Not taking any thunder away from Cal but I didn't want to neccessarily set up a new thread but Joel Whited apparently is going to UW-Stout next year.

Probably not mentioned as its not D1 and there's really not a huge Bismark following on here, but congrats to him too. Business Admin major and I believe one of the better D-3 programs.

It was about a week ago but I don't think it was mentioned.

Again congrats to Heeter, and thanks for making me almost pull out my hair at times this season when we played the Bandits. Well, maybe not thanks...but I hope to see you do that to other college fans over the next few years.

Congrats TD and to Cal for the championship, all tourny team and OSU. We sure missed haveing him around the Falls this year. His hard work is oaying off. Hope it continues.

From a pure hockey stand point, Cal will be a good addition to the Buckeye team. From an opponent's point of view, I'm sure that other teams in the NAHL won't miss seeing him between the pipes next season!!

Cal to 'Heet' up Ohio State in 2008

Just off the 2008 Robertson Cup championship, goaltender Cal Heeter committed to Ohio State University for the fall of 2008. The St. Louis native joined the Bandits this season after being acquired in a trade from the Wichita Falls Wildcats. Heeter finished the regular season with a .917 save percentage and was named to the NAHL All-tournament team during the Robertson Cup National Tournament.

“Cal was one of the horses that pulled the cart for the Bandits this season,” says GM/Head Coach Jon Cooper. “Mr. Friday night will be a tremendous addition to Ohio State University. They are receiving a very talented player both on and off the ice.”

Cal is the 10th Bandit to commit to a D-I College this season.
