this is going to be a very good matchup and series.

Scoring - advantage Arizona (especially with panky out beginning of series)

Goaltending - advantage Colorado

Home vs Away - draw both pretty much same records at home & on the road

Penalties in general - advantage Arizona (col. has 170 pims more than az which makes for alot of penalty kills)

Power play - basically a draw

Penalty kill - advantage colorado

Winner - i have to give the edge to Arizona - young hungry team and its harder to stay on top than it is to get there.

How can you pick Arizona? The only 2 advantages you gave Arizona were scoring, which will be a wash when put up against Colorado's D and goaltending, and penalties, which will be a wash because, as you pointed out, of Colorado's PK. You're a walking contradiction.

Panky will be back for game 3 and, barring another suspension, will play the rest of the series.

I say Colorado in 5.

i will go with conventional hockey wisdom: you win in the playoofs with goaltending and defense. advantage colorado. on the other hand, ariz does have enough offensive talent to be dangerous. i pick col in 7.
