Kiss My ass. I speak the truth and you all are to busy drinking the kool-aid to see my points. Reality is:

1. I like Coop alot.
2. He is a great coach.
3. I am sure he will do well
4. HE HAD ALOT OF HELP IN THE PROGRAM HE WAS IN!
5. BURKHART IS A PHENOMENAL SCOUT AND WAS A BIG PART OF THE SUCCESS IN STL.

What makes you think Burkhart is not going with him? He was with him a long time before the team got to St. Louis....

The plan
Cooper, 40, never envisioned a moment like Monday's when he began coaching on, in essence, a volunteer basis nine years ago.

It wasn't until 2002, when he led Michigan's Metro Jets to a Junior B national championship, that Cooper realized he was on to something. He was floored when the nationally respected Honeybaked Midget AAA team came calling the next year, and a year after that, he shut down his law practice and moved to Texarkana, Texas, to become coach and GM of the expansion Bandits.

Cooper believed it would take three years to win a title with the Bandits, but it was rough going in a lousy rink and a market with little use for hockey. After three years, the Bandits moved to the St. Louis area and promptly won consecutive Robertson Cup titles — despite returning only five players from the first championship team.

Roster turnover is one of the running themes in junior hockey, but the Gamblers had 14 players from last year's club on the protected list it released on Monday. One of the first challenges for Cooper and his staff — he won't begin looking for a full-time assistant coach until after Wednesday's United States Hockey League entry draft — will be shaking any lingering doubts from those players who endured the tumultuous 13-41-6 season that led to coach/GM Mark Mazzoleni's ouster on Feb. 26.

"We're just hoping that it's all out," Cooper said. "That's going to be our job, is change the culture of the environment and the team."

Burkart will lead the Gamblers' scouting department as director of player development, replacing John Gill, who had been with the team since 2005. He'll be chiefly responsible for finding players who fit the scheme and are willing to accept Cooper's no-days-off philosophy.[/b]

Looks like Burhart will follow hime to Green Bay at this was posted in the Green Bay Press Gazzette

Well both of them leaving is bad for the Bandits, but they can use back-to-back championships to lure recruits in.

That helps to have a winning program with a history of winning it all.

Still, not having the scouting you once had might hurt.

Only time will tell.

I don't know you but I know who you are...

What did I claim that was incorrect? You have a built in excuse in everyone of your posts. If you can't remember what the heck you wrote then go back and re-read them. It's always a back handed compliment...and BTW where was your "one win" against the Bandits? Oh yeah BooHoo you had injured players, we got a cheap shot, the Hockey Hall of Fame called with 9 St. Louis born players they have been training in Toronto for 18 years just for Coop... Rolling Eyes

You won't lower yourself to my level, at about 5'6" you would have to get on a step ladder to take a good look into my masqued eyes. FO pm and if I were the head coach of that outfit I would certainly surround myself with someone who had a little class and wasn't always putting down the competition. Moe was dead on!

Good Luck to Coop - Hate to see him go, but I guess that's life. Anyone know if Rogger is staying in STL? It would be good to have SOME continuity.
