Sid the Kid got into his first fight tonight! he got the Gordie Howe Hat Trick! He dropped the gloves with Andrew Ference at 14:51 of the 2nd period.

At least he's been in one, threw a few, and got a narrow win/draw. More than can be said for Kariya, Modano, Hull, Andreychuk, Jagr, Gretzky, or Yzerman.

By the way, he now has as many Gordie Howe hat tricks in his career as Howe himself had over the trillion years he played.

While yes, Gretzky was in a few fights (fought Doug Lecuyer, Neal Broten, Bob Murray, and Dave Taylor), he had pretty poor showings in them all. Hell, Taylor (not known as a fighter) KO'ed him. Crosby had no worse than a draw in this one.

Nah, Jagr trying to fight Rich Pilon about ten years ago? Now THAT was the gayest ever. Pilon went after him and Jagr gave him literally slaps with his gloves on. If Jagr had a purse, he would have swung it at him.
