Devils place Mogilny on Waivers
First let me preface this by saying:
Patrik Elias = The Man!
He has been my favorite player for years, and it was great to see him back and playing well last night.
I predict Mogilny gets picked up by someone and lights it up for them.
As a Devils fan I would just like to know, when are they going to get a new darn coach? I vote Ted Nolan!
Devils place Mogilny on waivers

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP-CP) - Veteran winger Alexander Mogilny was placed on waivers by the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday, a day after the return of Patrik Elias.
The return of Elias put the Devils just under the $39-million US salary cap. Should another club claim Mogilny and his $3.5-million salary off waivers, that would give the Devils a little more breathing room under the cap.
Elias was back in the lineup Tuesday night against Florida after missing several months with hepatitis and recorded two assists in a 3-0 win over Florida.
After the game, GM and interim coach Lou Lamoriello would only say that Mogilny was a healthy scratch. On Wednesday, he said the move was ''strictly a personnel decision.''
Mogilny, who scored 43 goals for the Devils' Stanley Cup-winning team in 2000, was re-signed for $7 million over two years in August after playing three seasons with Toronto. The forward was third on the Devils in scoring this season with 12 goals and 13 assists in 34 games but had not scored in his last six games.
