Well, congrats to the 'Nucks, finishing off the Stars in impressive fashion 4 - 1 with a 3 goal outburst in the third period.

It'll be interesting to see if Turco DOES stay in Big D. He has a no-trade clause in his contract and is making $5.7M/year w/three years left on his current contract.

Now that the Stars have reserved their tee times, here's hoping ANY TEAM BUT DETROIT goes on!

marty is going no where is played a great playoff series, his shooters did not help him out. And I would not call 2 empty netters a goal outburst!

I hope big 88 is gone and as much as I like nagy he has done nothing for the time he has got here.

I hardly call two empty-netters as an outburst.

Oops! We have a boxscore reader. It was not "impressive". Very close game all the way until the last minute or so.

Yeah, I did call that an "outburst" before reading the "recap" so you can hang that one on me.

I agree w/Netty. Lindros & Nagy were just dead weights after they were acquired. Time to show 'em the door.

I too think Turco will stay because of his no-trade clause and the money he's due. I just had to throw that story link out there for discussion's sake.

I do have this sense, however, that Modano may be leaning on hanging it up...remains to be seen...

As one of Turkey Turco's biggest detractors I wish I could blame the loss on him outright, but I can't. He played a helluva series and if it wasn't for him it wouldn't have been as close as it was. He did his part but the rest of the team didn't. Stars need to make some serious off season changes and get some people who can score. Their cap money may be limited though with the amount they are paying some players. Even though Turco played great I still say he is overpaid, but this series loss is not on him as the others were. Man that pains me to say. Razz

Now that my Flames are done I guess I'll root for Buffalo. I really like Chris Drury and Daniel Briere.

Didn't Turco have 3 shutouts? And didn't the Stars win 3 games? It's pretty bad that a goalie has to have a shutout for a team to win a game.

Yeah, unfortunately, the Stars offense decided to stay home this series. Marty definately kept them in this time around.

Shocked Wrencher...I was going to ask where you were but I wasn't about ready to get on here and say good things about Turco where I might hex him! Laughing
