Depends on which style Chicago Hot dog you refer, there is the Traditional Chicago Style hot dawg( northern), then there is the old fashion style hot dog ( southern style), then the kuru of Chicago Style Hot dog ( hood).

I prefer the style with the chopped tomatoes, chopped onions, relish, kraut, with the poppy seed buns served steamed, then add the long slice of kosher pickle. Add your favorite garnish ( ketchup, brown mustard, or horse radish). A mixture of both south & northern tradition. The hood is the plain weiner( chicken, pork, turkey, scraps ) w/hot sauce,bbque sauce, any garbage left from dinner last nite.

All of these are of common desire. And the best ones are served from the corner portable stands featuring the kosher all beef dog. You can find in the suburbs the Dog House featuring 20 Chicago Style Hot Dogs where only hot dogs are sold.

You from over that neighborhood Speed? If so you will remember watching hockey from the old Chicago Colosium home of the Blackhawks , when sitting down on glass you could get hit with rotten eggs, rotten tomatoes, if the team did not play well. Ahh those were the days.

Yes, a neighbor was one of the Tribune company higher ups, we got the Trib's Blackhawk tickets on occasion. The best games were against the Northstars. The best part was watching the fights in the parking lots after the game.
