Just a quik question; Does anyone believe French would put him on the same line with Travis and Duda? Would his presense cause more harm to this line than just an enforser to protect them?

They wouldn't put him on the 1st line, just his presence would be good enough to scare Fleck's little bitch ass from doing the shit he pulled off against Clayton.

He has 2 good things about him. 1) he IS a badass fighter. he's won tough guy contests for years now. 2) He is married to Michele , the owner of a strip club called Michele's Beach house so the team parties would kick ass. if you want to check out the girls at the club just go to:

That never went through, if I remember, because they didn't know where the money was going to. Besides, she (Michelle) was planning on bulldosing it under.

You only need one line up, on the faceoff, when they were in Wichita, and that would be all it took. So you have one time the top line didn't score a goal. Hell, before OKC could do anything, the play would be stopped, once Devo did something. One wasted stift, big deal.

Bottom line is there is no way this could hurt the team. Look at what we have now and where we could be.

I am going to go out on a limb and say this guy would destoy Borsheim. He is a professional fighter, that is what he does and that is what he loves.

The whole situation is frustrating. We hear about all the reasons why there isn't any toughness out there and we have most likely the toughest guy in the whole league sitting in the stands chomping at the bit to tear someones head off.

How could it hurt?

did'nt we already try to pick up Devo once this year and he declined because of his upcomming fighting contest. I believe I read something about that on a post by the cheif when Cox and Weibe were on IR.

He couldn't decline, because he was never contacted during that time. He said after he was done with his last tournamnet, Dec 9th I think, he would be available. Ofcourse then the front office completely waffled.

It all really comes down to one Question- How do you stop a fast skillful team from beating you? Sauter has definately figuired it out. You beat on them, slash, grab, hook,& hold them until they get so mad it takes them out of their game all together. We have a better team than OKC what we need is someone to stop them from doing all this to us. If you need stats, one example is Colorado. Pancawitz is #2 in the league in Penalty minutes with 190. Is this because he is a big goon who can't play hockey? NO it is because every team in the league is all over him and he gets tired of it all and retaliates. Is Devo the answer? Maybe, Maybe not, but it is definately worth a try. I say put Bain on the 14 day IR with a splinter in his butt from riding the pine and give Devo a try. If it doesn't work out release him and bring Bain back off the IR.

Don't forget, Devo was a defenseman. He could be used on a shift (once in awhile) with the top line, as part of the defensive pair. That would solve the problem of how to get him out there with the regular 1st line. I'm sure he would mostly be used as the extra winger, like Bain is now. Another option, IMO, would be to keep Bain (we all know the need for more than one tough guy, when the games get nasty) and let Hanson go. He gets almost as little ice time as Bain, and it will probably be less, when Barker's paperwork gets done.

I think signing a tough guy like Devo is really just wishful thinking. Lets face it, toughness is really not a priority for this team.

I don't deny that but they will give every excuse why it is not or how there is nobody available on the market. Playing in a division like northwest division when you have to face teams like Oklahoma city and colorado we do need a guy that will make opposing players afraid to take cheap shots on our players.
