French please sign DEVO

The guy is huge and scary as hell looking and he really wants to play hockey.

Please don't give us the same old song and dance that there no toughness out there. Right in our backyard is the best fighter in the CHL this season if we would just sign him.

He couldn't believe nobody went after Carroll after he laid out Liebel, he also talked with Clayton and promised him Fleck would pay for what he did.

Devo said he has been skating and is in great shape, he just waiting for the call. After talking with him it's very clear he would do anything to stick up for his players, no question he would be a fan favorite.

Have the paper run a nice artical about the Thunder signing the 2004 tough man champ and throw in some quotes from Devo and I promise it would sell 500 more tickets per night.

Cut Bain, Hanson or Murphy to sign him and your not losing a thing, only gaining a legit tough guy that will sell more tickets and be the policeman on the ice that this team is missing.

Talked to Devo at the game tonight. This guy is ready to go, said he has been working out on the ice getting in shape. Why the hell are we not pursuing this option? How would this not be a benefit to the team? We increase our toughness, we put more butts in the seats and we get a guy on the ice who could help police.

How many tickets would you sell if you put a toughman champ on this team? A guy who wants nothing more than to hurt anyone who looks funny at our players.

Every game we play without Devo is an ignorant business move by this team. This guy would help.

P.S. He was not very happy that Fleck left the ice on his own accord after the Clayton hit.......

Saw Devo at the game tonight....scared the hell out of me, just looking at him.

Bain got 3(???) shifts tonight. Devuno could do that. Hell, just his presence on the bench would keep most guys in line.

Devo played for the thunder about 100 years ago. he's slower then a turtle. last year at camp he was getting lapped by Duda in the drills. He has 2 good things about him. 1) he IS a badass fighter. he's won tough guy contests for years now. 2) He is married to Michele , the owner of a strip club called Michele's Beach house so the team parties would kick ass. if you want to check out the girls at the club just go to:

Devo=Lenny Devuno

He's a former Thunder player/psycho. He never was much of a skater (still better than Hewitt), but he was entertaining.

Played with the Thunder a couple of times, and actual is not a horrible d-man after he left hockey he got HUGE and started fighting in toughman compition. He just fought in a big Tough man in NJ and made the semi finals.

The guy is scary big, he now reminds me alot of Ron Aubry. I don't think to many guys in the CHL would go with him.

This is one of those thing that sounds and looks good but reality may be much different.

How old is Devo, like 35? When was the last time he played in a pro game, like 7 or 8 years ago? Why did he stop playing pro hockey?

Similar to Tulsa signing Voth IMO, sounded good but what really did it accomplish or prove?

Although I agree 100% that it would sell some tickets...however, the Thunder seem to be a doing a pretty decent job of that right now.

No wonder I couldn't find him on hockeydb. I forgot an "o", as in Devuono.

I'd say the Thunder should at least give him a serious look. See if the guy can skate and what kind of stamina he has.

One thing is certain, opposing teams would think at least twice before throwing cheap shots at our more skilled players.

How old was Roulston, when he joined the Thunder, and revived his long dead career? Don't get me wrong, I'm not, in any way, comparing Roulston to Devuono, as far as their hockey skills go. The point is, we have a role that is begging to be filled, and the answer is right here in town, and it sounds like he is motivated. Like I said, Bain gets how many shifts/game????? Even a 40 year old could handle that ice time.

I like Bain's heart, and his body may grow into the role someday, but we need an enforcer, NOW; not 3 years, and 30 pounds from now.

Yes they are doing great selling tickets this year, but why not sell more? He would easily bring in enough to pay his way.

Bain got about 3 shifts tonight and did nothing, and on his best day he just a average tough guy, why not use the same spot for a legit tough guy?

I am tired of our players, coach, and staff not sicking up for themselves. They need to quit being pussies and make this signing happen. I'm sure Clayton would appeciate someone sticking up for him.

if nothing happens soon, we will end up on the outside looking in. Every team in the league knows we won't do anything and they can have their way with us on the ice.

Bain is getting maybe 3 shifts a game has of late and even if he was out there the whole time most have found out by now that the kid has heart and grit but the skills are lacking. No fan favorite like Oly, Parker, or Plumb was. Comes up short.

We got lucky with the shootout win last night, lucky no one else came up lame and hurt.

Give DEVO a spot!

if the guy has been working out on the ice and is committing himself to this "comeback" French should at least give him a look. The guy is huge and would go with anyone in this league and i know clayts dudes ect would love having a true "ENFORCER" on this team. sorry no offense bain but just not getting it done.
