Goons in the Falls

Where oh where have all the goon accusers gone. Last nights game at the KYC saw no goonage or elbowage. My oh my the sky is falling and nobody is listening. Columbe let the guys play last night and called a good game in my opinion. The only thing I didnt understand is when Jarboe got taken down and the refs arm went up immediantly, why didnt we get the PP? Also when are the refs going to stop letting the Topeka Parakeets whine and chase the refs around the ice all the freaking time. Shut the hell up and play. I have NEVER, in any sport without instant replay, seen a ref change a call during a game. And get the hell off the ice after the period ends. One more thought, it is too bad Yavonic and Flink are gone from the TT. I would love to see Javorek and these guy mix it up. Laughing

yaaaaaaaas, those RRs can chirp and whine, and please, don't forget, Rolling Eyes DIVE! They go down looking like quadraplegia is in their future, and they next thing you know Shocked , the same player is up and flying down the ice. They are either the biggest fakers Wink in the league, or they have the most unbelieveable trainer (and miracle worker) on the bench.

My goodness Edie. Is it really neccesary to talk down so bad about the RR's ? Kinda harsh this afternoon, wow.

I wish we could just root for the 'Cats, say good things about the 'Cats, root for our team, instead of talking smack. It usually comes back and bites us in the ass. Very Happy

Although I do agree with madcatter, RR's chased the refs all over the ice complaining, I wouldn't have been surprised if they had been sent to the box.
But then that's my opinion. I'll just give up now since I know I'll take a beating.

One game does not equal many others of "goonage". Keep y'alls head in the sand. The rest of us laugh at your excuses.

You must not watch much sports. I've seen baseball umps, football refs, and basketball refs get together and reverse calls all the time. I'm sure I've seen a call get reversed against the TT once. Probably against the Wildrats.

Sucker job from last time? Cheap shots from the bench? Where?

And besides, last time Jacobson played and challenged a Wildcat to fight, he got his lunch fed to him by Javorek.

Look at the tape, I'm sure you have access to them, I did and Javorek bum rushed Jacobson, not letting him get ready, and he refused to fight him again later. In the Saturday game he chased a Roadrunner(Paulazzo) down and started to hit him from behind and came up from behind another Roadrunner(Wolfgram) in Fridays game and got him in a head lock. Seems he doesn't like to go at another player without an advantage, like sneaking up from behind. A goon by any other name is still a goon.

The reasoning behind the sucker job on Paulazzo is because minutes before, Paulazzo went knee-to-knee on Cardwell, the team's leading scorer, and was yapping all night with at least three or four other players. While JJ should have gone about it differently, he was just policing the ice.

Saying Javorek bum rushed Jacobson when everything shows that Jacobson was the one challenging him? Wow...

So what you are saying is it's OK for a player to skate up from behind and hit another player in the head from behind without warning and just write that off as "policing the ice". No way. That is goonism at it's finest. If someone had done that to a WF player you would have raised holy hell about it and not just say it's "policing the ice".

You're right in the fact that Jacobson did indeed challenge him but Javorek should have given Jacobson the time to take his helmet and gloves off first before attacking him. That's what true enforcers do, not bum rush his opponent or sneak up from behind.

I'm not saying it's okay at all. As I said, he should have gone about it differently. Props for standing up for a teammate, thumbs down for jumping the guy from behind.

I'm cutting Javorek a little slack on things at times, not because he's in a Wildcats uniform, but because he's new to the North American game. He played previously in Slovakia, where there is no fighting at all, so he's new to learning "the code," and how and when to fight.

I truley hope you don't expect anyone other than WF fans to cut him that same slack. He has already well on his way to earning the cheap and dirty label.

mctopeka,
You have no idea what happened a few weeks ago. Jacobson begged Javorek to "go" and tried several time to instigate. Look at these two pictures. The first is at the face off when it came to a head. You can clearly see who is instigating. You can see in the second that there was no "from behind" stuff. They both threw gloves and went at it.
The next night he wanted to go again, when Javorek declined he even asked if they're was someone else that would fight.

Last Saturday night was totally different, Paulazzo clearly, deliberatly went knee to knee with Cardwell. The team captain and scoring leader. You damn right Javorek went after him, as anyone else would have done. It just happened to be right in front of him. Javorek tried to get him to stop, Paulazzo ran, Javorek even hooked him around the waist trying to slow him down. You look at the tape my friend.

If your going to play like that he WILL protect "his boys".

Should he have done things differently? probably.
If your going to condemn one player for "jumping from behind" why not get on yours for trying to end a career, hello?

This is TOTAL bullsh*t !!!
