Let me point out that Hollywood served a 2 game suspension for fighting under 5 minutes after the ugly incident in Springfield a few games back. Maybe the league has changed that rule. I honestly don't know.

I have always understood the rule to be that if you fight with less then five minutes to go in regulation you're kicked out of that game plus the next two games.

Okay as I understand it it depends on the severity of the "fight". For instance in Hollywood's case everybody including the coaches thought it was a 1 game suspension and we did not find out until we got to Frisco that it was two games. So I stil believe the norm is out of the game you are in and miss one. But there is an option for a two game suspension of the referee thinks it is warrented. Having said that I am no expert so.....

He instigated it with a high hit, then it was just words exchanged with both guys deciding they would go. You don't know Ryan very well if you think he just went after Conboy! But he'll go when challenged. Just part of the game.

As far as us all being friends, I agree. But if you weren't there, don't make statements like they are fact. The "Boy" pulled hair and got an extra penalty. Both guys chose to fight and he chose to grab Ryan's hair.

As to game suspensions, I don't think either deserved more than a game ejection and one game suspension. But that's not a call I get to make. So, I guess we'll see what the officials rule.

Enough said on this, lets move on.

According to pointstreak, Conboy was given two game misconducts. The rules state if you aquire 2 "major" penalties in one game the suspension is to be the next 2 games.

Screw the "official" rules. Anyone that pulls hair deserves to get suspended. Even though if I played in the NFL with a lot of these cornerbacks, I might do the same thing.

Hair Pulling

The PM was sent on accident; meant to just reply. I am getting it...trying to look at things from a different angle. Let me expand on it to explain better. I am not for "hair pulling" in hockey fights. However, being a competitor, I am going to do what it takes to win. Just trying to correlate it to a different sport...that's all.

If i'm in a fight, i'm grabbing whatever I can grab. The end.

Okay, hopefully this will end this. My point was he got a double game ejection because of the hairpulling- otherwise it wouod have been a single game ejection. Therefore because of the double game ejection he got a two game suspension. So far no arguement. But then he got two more game suspensions for hairpulling. In essence a one game suspension for the fight and three games for the hairpulling. Four games for what happened seemed excessive. That was my point.

Damn...4 games is a little excessive. Especially at this level where half the draw/promotion is the fighting.

Look folks, there was NO "single" game ejection, much less a double game ejection. The following penalties were handed out in the fight:

Texarkana - Ryan Blair - (Fighting Major), 5 min, 15:58
Texarkana - Ryan Blair - (Fighting (Under 5 Mins) Game Misconduct), 10 min, 15:58
Wichita Falls - Andrew Conboy - (Slashing), 2 min, 15:58
Wichita Falls - Andrew Conboy - (Fighting Major), 5 min, 15:58
Wichita Falls - Andrew Conboy - (Fighting (Under 5 Mins) Game Misconduct), 10 min, 15:58
Wichita Falls - Andrew Conboy - (Unsportsmanlike Conduct Game Misconduct), 10 min, 15:58

Conboy got a MAJOR for FIGHTING (the first major), and Game Misconduct for Fighting Under Five Minutes (the second major), and a Game Misconduct for Unsportsman Like Conduct (suppusedly for pulling Blair's hair, which there is no evidence that is what it is for) (his third major of the game). The best I can figure, he got 2 games for the Fighting Under Five Minutes and two games for Unsportsman Like Conduct.

Get over it folks, there is nothing yall can say or do to change it. The rules were posted above, and make perfect freaking sense.
