Grabbed his hair?

OK, somebody has to tell me about Blair / Convoy(?) fight. He kept saying he is pulling his hair? Please enlighten me.

Strangest thing I've seen lately. Conboy and Blair start fighting and Conboy grabs Blairs hair and didn't let go for most of the fight . Maybe it was the only way he could protect himself from taking a whopping. Thought only girls faught (sp) this way too?

Bobcats first season Bismarck was playing the Butte Irish. Bismarck had Mike Wolf who was one of the toughest guys in the league and Butte had another of the leagues tough guys in Rocky Florio. Both also had quite the mop on top of their heads. This was the first meeting between the two times since Bismarck acquirred Wolf in a midseason trade. Also pretty inevitible that Wolf and Florio would eventually throw down against one another. Getting to the point they eventually did throw down and needless to say Florio pretty much worked Wolf . Both got the five for fighting and a game Ejection(back then a fight would result in an ejection) but Wolf also picked up a two minute minor for pulling the hair.

Don't remember which WF player it was but one of them grabbed Arcibal's hair during a fight at the American Airlines Center in a preseason game.

I was sitting down by the glass next to the visitors bench and the fight was right in front of me. There definately was some hair pulling going on in that fight. Half way through the fight I noticed that Conboy had a pretty tight grip on Blair's hair and wasn't letting go for anything...made my head hurt just watching it.

But since it wasn't a Tornado player doing it, it's okay and will never be mentioned again. His hand must have slipped while he was trying to hold the other players' jersey. Wildcats and Bandit players never do anything so cheap as pull hair in a fight. *sarcasm* Rolling Eyes

Hayz, you needed to pipe in here, why? You are really becoming one of the most annoying posters/homers.

As for the hairpulling, it was actually pretty funny. He was holding on for dear life.

Y'all missed a good game. If Riley hadn't been on his game, the score would have been closer. Both teams' offense played well. Way too many SOGs for my liking. The Divito/Zamkochyan fight was pretty good. Should be another good game tonite and, hopefully, another Bandit win. Hate to do it, but do have to say that Kraemer is becoming like Train. Whined and complained on just about every whistle against WF. I really liked the new ref, Trzeciak. Called a very good game. And Worstcall is just as bad a linesman as he is a ref.

Cap'n where were you last nite?

At this place that's quite an accomplishment. We have some pretty hardcore annoying posters/homers here.

Ryan lives with me and he said his head was pretty sore right after the fight. Congirl needs to learn how to fight. What a wimp!! We actually laughed our butts off!! First time I ever saw hair pulled that much in a hockey fight. Most times that kind of hair pulling happens when high school girls go at it. Weave flies everywhere!!

I heard that Conboy was trying to pull his jersey over his head and grabbed his hair by accident. Conboy should have just kept punching. As far as learning to fight for a 17 year old he has won pleanty of fights this year and most players don't mess with him. I remember him giving Colby Jones a run for his money in an earlier fight this year. Yeah he should not have accidently grabbed his hair, and he should not have fought in the last 5. But from what I heard the other player slashed him and one thing led to another. And concidering Conboy is on the NHL Central Scouting Watch List , I think he must have something going for himself.

This is another one of your "If you weren't there, shut up" posts, WFan! Stupid So butt out. It was obviously no accident since Congirl got 2 game misconduct. Get a grip. Yes he may be only 17 but he still needs to learn to let go when the ref tells him. He yanked on Ryan's hair long enough for all there to see it was not just inadvertant.

Besides, they both punched themselves out (arms tired out) at that late time in the game. Then he grabbed on and actually yanked Ryan around by the hair.

Basically it was funny, as I said before. Your comments without direct knowledge were uncalled for!

my My 2 Cents

Okay I can talk I was there. Yes he pulled hair yes he should have gotten and did a penalty however I do not believe he instigated the fight and I don't think he deserves a FOUR game penalty which is what he is getting. I'm sorry but hair pulling does not equal a deliberate attacking somebody by driving him into the boards from behind which is the only other time I saw a double game misconduct (Springfield IL about 3 weeks ago)

4 games for hair pulling does sound a little extreme.

According to the Times Record News this morning, 2 games of Conboy's suspension were for pulling hair(pending league review) and 2 were for fighting under 5 minutes.

Hey goalie mom, dont act like a Tornado fan. Were all friends here. I agree he should not have pulled his hair....even if he was trying to grab jersey. And if he ment to grab jersey and then didnt let go of the hair, well that is silly mistake. It does not matter. Im just saying your comments about calling him a wimp and a girl are unfounded. He is a tough kid. He should not have been suckered into fighting by your kid, but that happens sometimes. Also just because I wasnt at the game does not mean that I dont know people who were. Thanks for you 2 cents. Bandits do look like the team to beat. They are playing really good right now.

Yeah I saw that Hippy. Normally though a game ejection for fighting with under 5 minutes left in the game is only a one game suspension. I assume it is two games because they gave him a double game suspension and they gave him that for the hair pulling. Anyhow a total of 4 games for what happened is out of line in my opinion.
