Has anybody seen the movie Fever Pitch.

Great movie about a Sox fan who has devoted his life to being a fan of the team. One good scene where he and his buddies are in a bar drowning their sorrows with some brews. They look and see several of the players eating dinner like they hadn't just gone down 3-0 to the Yanks in the Series. They can't believe that those players are actually hungry and can eat after the loss. Thats when one of them has an epiphany. If the players can leave it on the feild, why can't the fans.

Moral of the story. Its OK to be a fanatic. But leave it on the ice. If the players can shake hands after a hard fought series, why can't we as fans (adults even) leave it on the ice.

P.S. A line from the Bad News Bears, "...just wait til next year."(drinks a beer)

Captain that is the way it is supposed to be. Some carry the fanaticism way to far. It's OK to support your favorite team but leave it in your arena. It's not life and death it's just sports.

Sounds good in theory. I think there are a few posters on here who really don't have any other way to release their agressions. The forum allows them to be jerks (in their minds - intelligent debaters) and they can hide behind an undisclosed ip address and a phony name. If they can keep the game alive in their rants, it's good for them. Or, they could be still bitter fans, like the Sabres, heh heh. I was behind a car coming out of the Frisco parking lot a couple of times that has a vanity plate that reads " NoGoal. Geez man, it's over, it's done, and even the Great One said it was a good goal.

It's a long time til next fall - the Stars are not looking good against the Divealanche, so hockey around here is almost over for me since I won't be going to Ohio. There's baseball - which won't even get interesting until after the Allstar break - I don't follow the Mavs much, and I haven't really enjoyed Nascar since Alan Kulwicki and Davey Allison died. It's gonna be a long hot summer.

It's almost comforting to know that there will be a few souls around here who will still post stupid crap, and allow us to take a few shots at them to hold us over until the puck drops again...

Have you ever visited this link? It used to be much more fun with Flopsberg and the other turtlers, now they're just sad.

Fever Pitch would have been respectable if they hadn't gotten Jimmy Fallon, a YANKEES fan, to play the part of a lifelong Red Sox fan.

Haven't seen it, but the critics described it as a "sweet romantic comedy, a great date movie." I'll pass.

If you go with the critics choices you'll miss a lot of great movies. Might be a little to educational with the whole moral of the story plot to it. Not one car explosion, drunken brawl, or incestuous relationship show. You might wanna skip it.

Does Drew Barrymore show her boobs? Even on David Letterman she showed her boobs.
