Following the leader? That's funny. I don't follow these guys and they know it. We have different opinions about a lot of things. They like things I don't,, I like things they don't. We have gone round and round ourselves.

This team is kind of boring because they dont have anyone like Parker that raises a hole bunch o hell. I dont dislike them or anything but this is one of the less tough teams ive seen them have. I first started watching the hockey games when Wells was the coach and his teams were always tuff. And Lotos teams sucked but they fought well too. Laxdals teams always had a good fighter or two like Parker or Olnik. Leiter always fought like Bain and got his ass beat. But Lieter skated better and played more and could check better than that pussy Tyler Fleck.

well TSTRUCK depends on what one calls entertainment. i consider the game itself ENTERTAINMENT. but if you want to break it down further by smaller aspects ok....

first off wells teams were basically a circus side show. focused more on theatrics than hockey. we all know wells let those guys party way too much and he condoned it. but hey makes for some interesting nights at the brown barn.

yes we all wish we could have the championship team and shedden back. it was great and he ran a tight ship!

times are changing and laxdal arrives. i think he turned the team around pretty damn well, and brought in some descent talent.

this years team is pretty damn good. sure there are some changes that i feel could help better the team, but im not the coach or a coach so what do i know. yes we are wasting space with bain, he is not a proven toughman and 1 shift a game is useless. i think we could use a big, mean, nasty dman to solidify the blueline. but with the trade deadline coming up maybe coach will do some tweaking.

but i can honestly say times change and the game and the league is not what it used to be. i like to go to the games because i love the sport. i would go if the were winnng or losing. i have even taken several roadtrips to okc to watch a blazers game against other teams besides the thunder simply cause i like to watch the game of hockey. but its great we have a hometown team to support and i enjoy it.

I haven't read every word of this thread, but now it all to well. I think it is funny though that this moved into the "it is better than no hockey" thread at one point. Thunder fans really don't know what having a poor performing team is. Come over to www.brahmas.net sometime and see what real frustrated fans have to say. The Brahmas' haven't had a winning record since year 1 of their existence. The Fire had 2 seasons over .500. There has been 1 championship in FW since the CHL resurfaced and only 2 playoff appearances in the CHL since 92 including the years when only 6 teams were in the league and 4 went to the playoffs! We were there with you at the bottom back in 92-93, but your organization improved and has had pretty good success over the years.

FW fans have sat through night on night of sub par hockey and lack luster performance, so I know exactly why this thread was started. You want to be entertained while also having a competitive team that has a chance at the championship. We don't get any of that and while the Thunder isn't always in your face, they do have a chance to win every night and are in the hunt for the title most every year.

We haven't seen the Thunder this season yet, but get to twice in Feb, and I will look forward to it. I remember the Wells and Shedden years and they were a blast to watch come through town. The games are at old barn of Will Rogers and will be a blast to watch and remember the old days.

I only say these things to put a little reality into the situation and also lend a ear of someone that understands the aspect of maybe losing your team, heck we are on number two in the CHL. We had similar situation with bball and arena issues as you guys and had been through the coaching changes. I have always found though that the Thunder fans are some of the best in the league. You are honest and speak your mind and I believe that is why your club has always found a way to right itself. The Thunder has had some of the legands in this league and has had some of the best teams ever in this league and for all of that be proud, but never accept mediocrity and sub par performance.

Good luck in making the playoffs...you have some work to do...

if those people are so unahppy with what the team is doing why pay good hard earned money to go and leave unentertained and pissed every night cause the team may not be doing so good? stay home and spend the money elsewhere, or like a fan should do, support the team winning or losing and enjoy the game of hockey!
