Well the on-ice officials must have missed one of those offenses as Crowley took a fighting major and Attempt to injure....Both of those were awarded at the same time......Aucoin recieved an attempt to injure in a another game and was suspended for 2.....Udocivic recieved a butt-end major and game misconduct and missed no games.....So it will be interesting to see how this turns out....I would expect to see results today.....

Voth, good point here, it seems that one can not compare this hit to that one. It will beintresting to see how this turns out.

I can't take full credit for the homework. DieHardKingsFan, on the Kings board, did the homeowrk. I just remembered what the league came up with for punishment.

I would say 7-12 games

Between 2 & 12 games. Just depends on how the league rolls it. 2 games if they roll snake eyes, 12 if boxcars, etc.

Should be for at least the rest of the season.
but it will be more like 2 to 6 games.

JL (in an understandable attempt to leave the past in the past) forgot to mention that 25 games for Ted's actions was TOTAL BS. Only the CHL officiating crew in Arizona could look at the footage of what happened and come up with 25 games. Most Memphis fans could have lived with (but still been pissed about) as much as 15 games with 8-10 being much more fair. Joly had been hacking at Ted & other Riverkings all game & basicly had it coming. My recollection on the stick to Francon's face was little more than "Get out of here punk, I'm busy with Joly".

In my opinion, the CHL was trying to "set a standard" by severly overpunishing Ted because of the additional attention at minor league hockey last season due to to lockout. They wanted to look like they can give out big punishments just like the NHL (who I don't think has ever given a 25 game suspension). They forgot that in the case of the CHL, 25 games is almost half the season, not a little less than 1/3. Idiots.
