I got a question.....

Twice, in last night's game, Texarkana got a Fighting Game Ejection penalty added on to their fiver.....

I would say Colby got tossed because it was his second fight. I am not sure of the rules, but the last couple of years any time I have seen anyone from any team get into two altercations in one game (in Jones' case it was the same period), they are asked to leave.

As for Weeks, just looking at the box score, this one does not make sense. I think sometimes it is up to the referees discretion, as I have seen some get thrown out for dropping the gloves, even with a willing participant that only got a 5 minute major for their part in the altercation. Who knows if it is something that was said leading upto or during or after the brawl.

I think sometimes it's one of the great mysteries of the world why a ref would toss a guy who got into his first fight with more than 5 minutes left to play.

Isn't it usually the players behavior after the refs break up the fight that causes them to get ejected?

I always thought if the player didn't go straight to the box, didn't stop trying to get to the other player, argues with the officials etc. caused them a game ejection.

I was surprised about the "obscene language" penalty. Say it aint so....bad language on the ice....oh the horror!!!!

In Jones' case it would be because of it being his second fight of the game. Looking at the penalties and the scores from the Bandits two games this weekend looks like they let their emotions take control and thats always a trigger for dumb penalties.

I really hated to see the Bandits scoop to that level, but hell, it looks like to me, most of Springy's games end up like that.....I think it is bull shit....

Don't think I am agreeing with the Dangle Dropping Dumbass, but we can NOT let teams run over us like that.....

I know almost all our games against them ended up like that. Springy leads the league in PIM's by a long shot. Heck, the have 200 more than the Nado, who are usually the league leaders. Maybe thats why the league only scheduled them two to play each other 4 times this year. Rumor has it they won't be in the South Division next year which wouldn't break my heart. I call it "goon style" hockey, but being from the South I guess I don't know "Canadian style" hockey.

Not after tonight....Springy is now the only team with more than TT. Keep in mind Wasilla has also played 6 more games than TT.

Back to the topic. I think reverting to the style of your opponent is not the way to go. Bandits problem sounded more like

they just did not have their heads in the game. Of course we were only hearing it from the perspective of the Springy announcer who was almost as big a homer as cheeks.

If you are a coach and your team is winning 5 to nothing what could happen that you get so angery that you are thrown out??
