Cap'n, thanks for the shout out to us on the first star. We made the decision about 3 pm Saturday to head to the game. I know our family feels it's the least we can do, since the Bandits faithful usually come out to our place in force!
As for the game, I think you are right, the Bandits did seem to wake up in the third after their goal. I was happy we got out of there when we did (as far as time on the clock goes) as it seemed the momentum was swinging Texarkana's way. I was even happy we got out of the second period when we did as for the last 2 or 3 minutes of the second, I felt the Bandits were taking control. It seemed the Tornado came out really strong in the third, until Lewicki (who is a TT killer this year) scored. After that, seemd like The whole Tornado team climbed aboard Redmann's back for the remainder of the game.
Anyway, we had a good time, as always, at the barn. Here's to a very competitive stretch run in the south division!

I really don't see the Bandits being all that bummed out about this past weekend. Yeah, we lost 3 points in the standings, but as poorly as the defense played Friday night and the offense Saturday night, we still lost each game to the "Mighty Tornado" by only one goal, with the Friday night game being an OTL. We had a rookie goaltender who played his ass off Friday night, stopping 40 of 44 shots and Saturday night, he gave up 2 goals, both on breakaways. Miles Williams did an outstanding job against the Tornado. With that being said, if Riley had been in goal against the Tornado, I feel like we win the Friday game and either win or at least go to OT Saturday night. I can't help but think Gill would have stopped at least one of the breakaway goals Saturday night. But, the bottom line is, Riley was not in goal, the Tornado picked up 3 points and we now trail them by 1 point.
I think the Bandits are still a very confident team, but not over confident. Curtale had better not let his boys read too much into the Texarkana sweep this weekend. No matter what happens from here on out in the regular season, odds are the Bandits are going to the playoffs, and whether it be a 3 of 5, or 4 of 7 series, I really like our chances against any team in the NAHL.
