If the game Friday was played in Frisco

I will give it to the tornado for saturday's game. We were definitely outplayed.

Now if that game on friday night had taken place in FRISCO, the three stars for the game would have been wearing black and white striped jerseys. One would have had some orange on its arms.

guess that it pays for the main ref offices and NAHL offices to be in FRISCO. Just curious, what is the going rate to pay off a referee to get calls your way? And by the way, the acting on friday night will not be eliglible for THIS YEARS acadamy awards because the game took place after christmas.

Beating a dead horse

For the 1,000,000th time, there is no ref's office in Frisco. The refs are under the control of USA Hockey.

Do you really think that is the reason your team lost two, refs? In case you missed it, without Gill in the lineup your team plays very different. He would have made the difference. Your team ALWAYS plays better when he is in goal. It's no surprise he is a real talent. Wow

Speaking of Gill, why was he out? Off the team? Injured? Just a scratch?

SciFi,

There was a total of 2 minutes difference in the penalties called on the Tornado and Bandits. Did you ever stop to think that maybe it was the 45 to 32 SOG differential Friday night?

Who do you think paid the refs off on Saturday? There was a 6 minute differential in the penalties called on the Tornado (14 min) and Bandits (8 min). The Bandits also had a 4 to 1 PP advantage. In fact with the Bandits trailing the Tornado going into the 3rd, the Bandits get 3 PP opportunities to none for the Tornado.

How much did that cost you?

Had nothing to do with the refereeing. We got outplayed. The Bandits waited until they scored that late goal to wake up. We had several chances before that but were turned away.
In my book,
1st STAR --> Tornado faithful who made it to the barn.
They were loud and we appreciated the ticket money

Capn,

Couldn't agree more, my point being that everyone wants to blame a loss on the refs or something other than the opponent putting more pucks in the net. I often include myself in that "everyone".

Yes the refs do make some bad calls or miss some penalties. But, over the cousre of a game, series or season they tend to even out.

This paying the refs off IceLane is getting old and stale.

You are about two years too late.....It is probably a good time for you to loose this address.....Your post are getting worse, showing your true colors.....

Answer this question, please....

How the HELL do you expect to win a game scoring only ONE goal? Oh, wait, that was the refs fault, too?

Cap'n, thanks for the shout out to us on the first star. We made the decision about 3 pm Saturday to head to the game. I know our family feels it's the least we can do, since the Bandits faithful usually come out to our place in force!

As for the game, I think you are right, the Bandits did seem to wake up in the third after their goal. I was happy we got out of there when we did (as far as time on the clock goes) as it seemed the momentum was swinging Texarkana's way. I was even happy we got out of the second period when we did as for the last 2 or 3 minutes of the second, I felt the Bandits were taking control. It seemed the Tornado came out really strong in the third, until Lewicki (who is a TT killer this year) scored. After that, seemd like The whole Tornado team climbed aboard Redmann's back for the remainder of the game.

Anyway, we had a good time, as always, at the barn. Here's to a very competitive stretch run in the south division!

I really don't see the Bandits being all that bummed out about this past weekend. Yeah, we lost 3 points in the standings, but as poorly as the defense played Friday night and the offense Saturday night, we still lost each game to the "Mighty Tornado" by only one goal, with the Friday night game being an OTL. We had a rookie goaltender who played his ass off Friday night, stopping 40 of 44 shots and Saturday night, he gave up 2 goals, both on breakaways. Miles Williams did an outstanding job against the Tornado. With that being said, if Riley had been in goal against the Tornado, I feel like we win the Friday game and either win or at least go to OT Saturday night. I can't help but think Gill would have stopped at least one of the breakaway goals Saturday night. But, the bottom line is, Riley was not in goal, the Tornado picked up 3 points and we now trail them by 1 point.

I think the Bandits are still a very confident team, but not over confident. Curtale had better not let his boys read too much into the Texarkana sweep this weekend. No matter what happens from here on out in the regular season, odds are the Bandits are going to the playoffs, and whether it be a 3 of 5, or 4 of 7 series, I really like our chances against any team in the NAHL.

Very well Said!

Miles did have an OUTSTANDING TWO GAMES againest the Back-2-Back. On the Other hand. The tornado better be careful. In the playoffs EVERYONE starts all over @ 0-0-0 and I almost will to say GILL will be in NET.

Mike

This past weekend might would have been a good time to is Matt (the Back-up goalie) play for the Nado.
Hats off to Both teams

Miles did a great job and I hope the Bandits give him more playing time. We really enjoy coming to the barn. The majority of the fans are so nice and friendly. We have a good time taunting each other in fun. Like the Bandit fans we are there to support our guys Laughing

Two great games were played this weekend as are all the games between the Tornado and the Bandits. We are very lucky to get to watch such a strong division play hockey and to get to know some great people who share a passion for the game.
