The "Walk-Out" in question is not vaild to my expierence at the Robertson Cup.
Furthermore there is great amount of credibility regarding the supposed "Walk-Out". It seems those accusing the "Topeka" fans of walking out on a bill cannot produce adequate proof that such an event took place.
Additionally, believe it or not, I did not hang out with the "topeka" fans, nor am I their keeper or responsible for anything regarding them.
While I may have sat with and talked to the Topeka faithful at the Tounrey, I did my own thing when hockey was not being played.
I hope that clears up the lingering question for you. Thanks.
Dumbass, maybe you should stick to writing your blog, or whatever it is....
I wasn't asking you....

Why don't you follow your own advice and tell us what restaraunt it was, if there even was one? Talk about half truths, everything you have posted about the Topeka fans is just that.
Hey dumbass, I'm not going to be naming the restaurant because THAT would be inappropriate. It is up to them to proceed how they wish about the Topeker deadbeats, not me. It is also not my job to do police work. All I know is what this man told me. It sounded very convincing and he would have no motivation to lie. If you don't believe him, keep on living in your world of make believe. Probably the only way you can continue living on a wheat farm. I don't have pictures of your idiotic fans behavior at the rink, does that mean it didn't happen? Your an idiot. I do love it how much you inbreads whined and cried here and at Nationals. Only further indicates why you think the flop and dive show is good hockey. I love good jokes. WAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Inappropriate? You call folks out on what you "heard"....then say giving the information out would be inappropriate?
Good one...

Why weren't you at the Press Conference?
Sorry that my job got in the way of me being there a day early. I will say that WIBW TV in Topeka covered it.
What did you miss by not having your Press Pass 1.5 hours before the first game?
Me, nothing personally, I can give you that. But the other folks from the Topeka Capital-Journal wanted to get their stuff set up before the puck dropped. We got the passes about 30 mins to game time, so kind of makes it a tight fit for time to get set up. Same with our camera crew.
Why didn't you mention the reason security put up those signs was because of the Topeker stupid fans and them hanging, banging and climbing on the glass?
Can't say I ever saw any Topeka fans hanging on the galss. Saw plenty of shirtless Bandits fans doing it though.
Why didn't you mention that a simple wind breaker would have kept you comfortable?
Had a wind breaker on, next time turn a heater on, it's not Pee Wee hockey.
Why didn't you attend the dinner or if you did, report on it?
Already addressed this.
Why didn't you mention the live bands, or beer garden for ALL the fans?
Didn't shell out the extra money for beer, which I rarely drink. Sorry, my Liver thanks me though.
Why didn't you mention that no one missed one second of action because 1 hour before the game no one was selling tickets?
Can't tell you, but maybe you are just so much better than me at writing...nope that's not it.
Why didn't you mention these facts? Please show some journalistic responsibility and report the facts, not just your distorted half truths?
Quit being a homer.
I think there is a reason your still in writing in Topeka (Topeker is not a real town) and not in a legit market that demands accountability.
Topeka is a legit market. The reason I'm writing here is because I live here, always have, always will.
This was fun, it's not often I get to answer questions.
Lou, I'm sorry that you have had such a terrible expierence with Topeka fans. While I can't speak for them I will say that your coaches and team were class, as were the staff (excluding the security) at the rink. I simply had my expectations for what the event would be. They were not met, and I chose to write about what bothered me. Simple as that.
If that rubbed you the wrong way, sorry, that's life. If it is still bothering you one week later, then you need to find a hobby.
This will be my last response to you on this topic, if you failed to get your answers out of my comments, then you truly have issues.
I have no hard feelings toward the Bandits or one of their "fans", because in the end, it's just a hockey game.
We all love the sport and that's the REAL reason we are here.

Thank you for your response, as ridiculous as it was at least you tried. Point being the worst issues of this Nationals was not the fine show the Bandits organization put on with numerous amenities. The worst issue was the behavior of your local Topeker fans. Thats the point I am making, and if you wish to ignore that so you don't lose that prestiges job writing to 24,000 then I guess I can't blame you. And thank you for continuing the bellyaching, it further illustrates the ignorance of the Topeker view. But I am sure you will try to justify the actions of the drunken disgraces you call fans.

I guess that would be my cue. The Topeka Fans were wrongfully accused of doing something they didn't do. First Security came over and asked us to stop doing what we were accused of and he was told it wasn't us doing it and we told him who it was. We even pointed them out. He turned and left and got one of the Owners of the Bandits. This owner said he saw the incedent with his own eyes and it was the Topeka fans and asked a couple of them to leave. We even pointed out the fans that actually did it again and they even had Bandits gear on. One of our fans told him he was wrong and he needed to calm down but he insisted. He was then told he didn't need to be an asshole about it, especially seeing as he was totally wrong. The security guard grabbed this Topeka Fan and was informed he had better let go of that persons jersey and that he wasn't man enough to physically remove that said fan. That Topeka fan also told the Security guard and the owner he would walk out on his own and not like a criminal. There were several Topeka fans that walked out to cool off but all of them did return before the end of the period. There you go.

Uh, I kind of had the feeling that BP was asking St. Lou to respond to the alleged restaurant walk out. Which he has, kind of, by saying that despite bringing it up himself, it is not appropriate to talk about it on here.

I also have to say I was there, so I know what I'm talking about. I didn't just hear it from someone who heard it from someone who heard it from someone else, I actually was very close to the situation.

Well, I do write newspaper articles from time to time, but yes, it's not my full time job.
Which I'll quash the "don't quit your day job" jokes by saying, the newspaper approached me to write about hockey this season.

Come on guys loo's just pissy because they didn't get any coverage from their local paper until the last day. Hell we had all the Roadrunners games shown here each evening on our cable channel and live remotes from St Louis every night on the local evening news. Talk about good press coverage.

Well, in the Bandits defense, they are NOT the only game in town. Of course their media coverage is going to be less than what you have in Topeka.

And actually, I did note that there were articles in the Post-Dispatch on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the three days I was present. They probably averaged ten column inches, were adequate and what I would have expected the P-D to give them--and maybe more than I would have expected.

That's good to hear/read.
Even when they were here and, in my opinion, the only game in town, they still didn't get the media coverage they should have due to high school sports being somehow more important.
