How is it sour grapes?
First off it's an opinion, you don't like it, GREAT!
Second it's was an observation of how things were run. Moe and Tornado, did you go? If not, then how can you comment.
Did I whine that the host cost the team a championship? Nope. If I had, then it would be sour grapes.
If we had won the Cup, I would have said the exact same things. Truth.
If everyone was ok with settling for sub-standard, then maybe this league is in trouble.
You wanna be big time, act like it.
Flame away, I don't care, you are entitled to your opinion.
Thanks for the hits!

No, I didn't go. But, I did speak with Arch and he expressed that he was impressed with the event the Bandits put on.
Maybe if the Runnerses had made a better showing at the tourney, you wouldn't be so bitter. But, knock yourself out.
McT, as someone who has lost not one But THREE hockey teams, I would think you would be a little more sympathetic to the Suckholes fans.

You have a reading comprehension issue, I would have wrote the same had they won.
The event was built up to be bigger than it turned out to be. I guess maybe I thought too much of the league.
My mistake, one I won't make again.
Again, it wasn't horrible or the worst I've been too, just not what I anticipated.
Take it or leave it, bitter...whatever.

OK, this is really going to endear myself to several of you.
I've had more than a few questions this season about the leadership, management, and marketing of the North American Hockey League. It has seemed to me that for a league that has been around since 1975, it seems to be lacking something in each of these categories.
That wouldn't necessarily be a surprise. The old IHL was around 50+ years, but bad management did it in.
I do have a question--or questions--that I would like to ask those who were in St. Louis. If you want to flame me, fine, but I would like a few serious answers.
If you did not know that the NAHL was having its Robertson Cup Tournament last week at the Iceplex and you walked into the lobby, what was really there--screaming, as it were--to tell you that the championship of the NAHL was at hand?
The question is not meant as a dig at the Iceplex or the Bandits organization. The NAHL is another story.
A major event in any organization should be a publicity bonanza. In this case, something good for the league. Something good for the host team, which should be using it as a chance to build its own fan base through the publicity.
So that gets us to question two: If the Bandits were using the tournament as a publicity event to build its own fan base, did they succeed? And if they weren't, why not?
As I said, I would really appreciate some serious answers. And I know the immediate one: no one in the league has Mark Cuban's billions.

I don't have comprehension issue. You have your opinion and I have mine. If the Runnerses would have won this thing, you'd be singing a different tune. I'm sorry that the Bandits don't have the facilities that Topeka and Frisco have. I'm sure they did everything they could with what they have.
And, kudos to the Bandits' staff and tournament team. I'm sure Kim probably had to almost singlehandedly run this thing herself. She's a great girl and a hard worker and to disparage her and other's efforts in this tournament is a shame.
Now, why don't you run along and worry about getting back into the tournament next season.
