With all the ice available in the metroplex why in the world wouldn't they just play in another arena? Same offices, billets, etc. , just play in a different rink. Yes, I know it may not be as big but this is unbelievable. Are we watching the slow demise of a whole franchise? I sure hope not.

Lots ways it affects us. Frisco is the closest road game for us fans and the rivalry is always fun. Not to mention the financial ramifications for WF with the increased travel to other teams. We all hope for MORE Texas teams and here we are losing one for at least a year, it sucks for all of us in the South.

General comments...

Here are my general comments regarding the postings:
1) If the TT take the 08-09 season off then it will make TWO seasons in a row that they took off. lol
2) If they do participate in the draft and take the 08 - 09 season off here in Frisco then most likely it means the team is moving elsewhere for good. (Although that would be hard to imagine because from what I've heard the TT own the scoreboard/jumbotron in the arena and they will be hard pressed to move that thing)
3) I have NEVER dissed the Bandit fans when they were in Texarkana and I am very sorry that they weren't able to retain the Bandits. I was VERY IMPRESSED with the courtesy and friendliness of the Bandit fans when I visited the "barn" they used to play in. They behaved, and were MUCH more courteous than the WF fans were when I first started visiting. (On my first visit to WF we had to be escorted to the bus for our own safety) I will give the WF fans MUCH credit for improving their attitudes over the years and on my final trip there in the 06 - 07 season I found them to be friendly and respectful people.
4) Does that mean there will be no "Ike's kids club" this year? lol (I really hat that smelly rat anyway. The only laugh I got from that overgrown hairy rat was when a WF fan tried to pull his eye out)
5) Maybe they should move to Belton Texas? I hear the old rodeo arena where the Central Texas Marshalls played is available.

If all is true, I would guess there is a move being talked about.
If the "Frisco Tornado" are in fact thinking of laying out for next season, they need to call Texarkana and talk with us first! I dont care what the attendance numbers say, one season away will be the death of Jr Hockey for the Frisco area. I know if Jr Hockey returned to Texarkana we would be hard pressed to bring back half the fans we had before. Hockey is still a hard sell in Texas.

Guess they could move way down South and be called Heisler's Hell Raisers. That could be the ticket! Get ahold of Heisler, bet he could find a town to take em in.

This morning there was a picture and link on the front page of the website touting the tryout camp. That was taken off the front page after JT's original post. I think that is where people were getting the idea that it was taken clear off the website.

Apparently somone who helped build the team that is hated by many other teams fans told the owner that a year off would be death. The owner decided to do it anyway. Way to call the dude if you ain't going to listen. Hell, play at a small rink w/ 200 seats for a season if they are serious about coming back. I guarantee that the fans/sponsors would be willing to accept a season like that knowing that better things were coming then just a complete screwing. I'm done bitchin'. Y'all might want to be careful kicking me in the ass. I just got screwed so hard by the org, your foot might get stuck!
