Loyalty to sports teams and marital faithfulness

This semester I am doing a sociological research project involving the correlation between loyalty to your favorite sports team VS cheating on your spouse. First off we have Jim Pfister he is 28 years old has liked the same baseball team, the Dodgers, since he was 8 years old. The same hockey team, the Rangers, and the same football team, the Dolphins, all since he was 8 years old. He has been married for 5 years and has never cheated on his wife. Next up we have Roger Carlson, he changes his favorite team to whomever is on top right now. Last year he liked the Patriots, now the Steelers, back in the 90's it was the Cowboys. He liked the Lakers during the 80's then the Bulls in the 90's. He liked the Edmonton Oilers during the 80's, then rooted for the Pens in the 90's and now likes the Avalanche. Roger has been married for 3 years but has had 4 extramarital affairs and 7 one night stands all while being married to his wife. In conclusion one can easily see that there is a correlation between faithfulness to their favorite sports team and faithfulness to their spouse.

Well Rogerson, you could have something there. I am loyal to my sports teams and working on forty years of faithful marriage. However... I might be interested in having an affair save for the fact of my being so butt ugly an affair is out of the question!

Maybe Roger Carlson is married to a bitch, and she will not divorce him, and he needs to feel loved outside of his very confining and demanding marrage. Maybe Roger and his wife have an open marrage. Mr. Ed, it's not always black and white, there are always shades of grey.

I have to agree with his thesis, I know a guy who has been a Raiders fan for 40 years. He stood with them even when the went to LA, he has been faithful to his wife for 39 of those years.

Could it be that Jims wife puts out but Rogers doesnt? When wifeys go frigid the hubbies head to warmer waters.

This thread is making me sick. It has nothing to do with the wife going frigid. It has to do with integerity. Some people have it and some people don't!

I once knew a Cowboys fan(Andy) who was a Coyboys fan all his life. He was married to the same woman for 10 years. . But he cheated on her with at least 4 different women. The cheating started after the second year Another fan I knew(Ben) was first a Jacksonville Jaguars fan, then a Tennessee Titans fan and finially a New England Patriots fan. He has been married to the same woman for 8 years and has been faithful the whole time.

What about that?

Well I know a Bears fan that has been following the team since 1975. That is almost 30 yrs. He has been married to the same girl since 1975 and has only had 365 one night stands. So really has has been faithfull 29 out of 30 years. That is not bad...right?

Was the "smrat" intentional? If not, that's the greatest bit of irony I've ever seen.
