My own hockey comparison

In the spirit of Dr. Ed, I bring you my own hockey comparison study/thoughts...

If the characters in the movie ANIMAL HOUSE were hockey players, what position would they play?

Well, I would figure that "Otter", Rush-chairman, would be a center. Sociable and always ready to be in the spotlight while ever-willing to help a lady out in the produce section... Otter would be a center.
Bluto would be goalie. Why goalie? Simply this: Bluto (played by John Belushi) did not speak much but when he did, it was inspirational and meant to help the team ("Did we say it was over when the Germans decided to bomb Pearl Harbor?"). He also was there to give advice ("My advice to you is to start drinking heavily"). And, he was a little off-kilter and willing to be a bit nuts, as most goalies are.
The defenseman would be none-other than Daniel "D-Day" Simpson. D-Day was cunning and worked his magic behind the scenes. He wasn't looking for glory. He just did what he felt he needed to do to get the job done by building a tank that ultimately ended the movie with a stern victory. He hardly spoke - no, he was content with doing his job and going home. That is why I say he is the D-man.

I would have thought that D-Day would be the goalie. Why can't we wait till this afternoon before comparing hockey to movies? Thinking during the morning sucks.
