In a sad ending to Wichita Falls efforts to lure noted hockey commentator "Netminder" to their city, Wichita Falls city leaders today announced that they had officially ended their campaign.

From the official press release:

"Since every educational institute in North Texas had withdrawn their support, our only remaining enticements for "Netminder" were two red tacos from Casa Manana, a round of miniature golf from the Plex (weekday only/junior putter available) and a 10% discount coupon from Christy's Toy Box."

As far as my attendance of NAHL games, I will state with a great deal of confidence, that I have attended substantially more NAHL games than you yourself have attended. Shocking as this might be Mr. Minder, I have even attended a number of NAHL games in Frisco, Texas, as well as other venues.

Apparently, you have somehow been advised of the "IP" with which my posts are associated. Before you draw any conclusions from that information, however you came by it, I would recommend you have someone help you research the way "internet protocol" addresses truly function. For example, IPs can be masked, re-routed or in some situations an entire corporation's internet use will be routed to one central location, which will then show up as the "IP" for all their users. In other words Mr. Minder, just because the "IP" says a poster is in one location, it's not necessarily so.

Mr. Minder, I realize that this type of complex information will likely confuse you and cause your head to hurt. This is perfectly normal and I recommend you lie down until it passes.

I would suggest sending an honest, heartfelt message to him. If you bash or threaten him or send a profanity-laced tirade, you're not helping the league and it will only make things worse. Just express your support for the NAHL and junior hockey ACROSS THE COUNTRY because that's what this is REALLY about.

For one thing, when I really want to attack someone, I do it face to face rather than hide like others.
