Rabani Makes It 11

Josh Rabani is reported to be going to RPI on Heisenberg's site.
5/15: Rabbani (RPI/St.Louis-NAHL) Very Happy That is the 11th player this year to get/give a DI committment from the Bandits. Cool Great Job done by Coach Cooper and the whole Bandits organization!!

Congrats!! Great job to the coach. Its a shame more coaches are not like the Bandits and Fairbanks coach in helping their players get to the next level. That is after all what this league is for.

What happens if you have 20 players returning and you move 4 or 5 out of 26? Would that make you a coach at their level or is that unattainable for mortals?

I believe a good coach is one with foresight...

Maybe not to recruit a lot of players with the same date...

Four or five a season would be ideal...

That way he could keep a good core group for next season...

Not having to replace half his roster with newbies and rookies...

I think it would be an ideal situation and attainable at this level...

JMHO...

A good jr hockey coach tries to move every player on his roster to the next level as soon as possible. That is the purpose of jr hockey. Jr hockey is not about winning games or championships. It is about moving kids to the next level..................

Agreed. I think winning and moving kids go hand in hand. Teams that move the most kids will attract the better players.
