Robertson Cup Format

Does anyone know how they are going to go about doing the seeding following the round robin portion of the tournament? I know the top seed gets a bye into Sunday's final, and the second and third seeds play the semi-final game, with the fourth seed going home after Friday. What I am curious about is how they are going to rank the teams.

Are they awarding points for overtime losses like they would during the regular season?

What are the tie-breakers for teams that have the same records?

That kind of stuff.

It would be easy if the standings end up 3-0, 2-1, 1-2 and 0-3 - but my guess is that there will be a tie in the standings somewhere.

I would think the tie breaker would be head to head....

If they eliminate the extra point for the overtime loss, I think that would be the best way.

However, if they are giving a point in the standings for overtime losses, then I'm not so sure.

If one team goes 2-1 and other team goes 1-0-2, typical hockey tiebreakers would put the 2-1 team ahead of the other team, regardless of who won the head to head matchup.

It may not matter in the end, just kind of curious more than anything.

I would not think they would give points at this stage of the game....

Surely, it is all about the wins...

I agree, but lets not forget who we are talking about here.

(I guess part of me is just wanting to see if anyone knows this, just to be sure the NAHL has already figured it out themselves.)

I think they should use GAA as the tie-breaker

It should be determined by the card game, TEGWAR (The Exciting Game Without Any Rules.)
