Is there a limit to the number of players a team can have on their roster (during the season, not in a game)? Do the teams have a practice squad?

As far as I remember yes they do have a roster limit and no there isn't a practice squad. It's been a few years though. It might have changed.

23 is the roster limit.
But, this year, you can call up some of your futures players and they can play in a certain amount of games before you have to "officially" add them to your roster, so that is why some teams have more than 23 on pointstreak.
