RR's trade Goalie Carlson

I see that the Road Runners traded Carlson (goalie) to Helena for a Forward.

5'11" and 235 lbs! Check this guy for steroids...or doughnuts. I thought Carlson played pretty well the last three games against Texas. The defense let him down Sunday.

The guy's built like a fire plug and he puts up decent numbers, too. Looks like the RR were going after a big, thick forward who won't be so easy to push out from in front of the net. I must say I'm kind of surprised that the RR would trade off Carlson. He's done a good job for them. Maybe there are other issues at work here. Any RR folks out there care to shed some light on the situation?

Sounds like he wanted to leave, no more than that.

I'm not insinuating a grand conspiracy. Just asking for some info on a surprising development. Every team has players that aren't happy, don't get along with the coach or teammates, hate living in a particular town or whatever. The world of Junior Hockey is it's own little soap opera, and everyone on the good ol' GR loves to gossip. This board is predominantly TT,Bandit, and Wildcat fans. Santa Fe people are few and far between on here, as are posters from the other divisions. We just want some "different dirt".

I find it surprising that Helena would trade Gervorkyan. He's a third year veteran and earlier in the year I know for a fact that he was wearing the 'C' for the Bighorns. Can't say that he still was as of late. He's also a pretty quick player and very dangerous on the penalty kill. He's always a threat to net a shortie for his team.

I noticed Jarrett Runey is at Helena. I didn't know where he went after the Wildcats cut him.

Best wishes for success in Helena, Basset Boy!

Just noticed this part. Gervorkyan is no 235 lbs. maybe 180-190 tops and 5' 11" is an exaggeration too. More like 5' 8"-5' 9"

Gervorkyan was the captain up until the time of his trade. New acquisition and former Billings Bull Anthony Cosmano is now Helena's captain.

Just saw Gervorkyan for the first time last night and there is no way he is 235. He looks about 185 or so and about 5'9" maybe. Good skills from what I saw, though. Not afraid to get physical to move the puck around people. He looks like a good pick up. I am a little sad to see Carlson gone, though. He seemed solid.
