Second franchise for Washington State
Last Monday morning I was feeling really depressed so I decided to call up Roger Carson, an old college buddy. I went and picked him up and we drove to Escondido, CA from LA. We drove to the mall and once we got to the mall we went to the Build A Bear store and got bears. Roger got a Fireman bear and I dressed mine up as a football player.
We took our bears to the food court and ordered Subway sandwiches and then Roger and I were discussing Marc Foster's blog. Roger said how it was too bad that Wenatchee is the only franchise in Washington State. Just then my cell phone happened to ring and it was Max Fox, a great guy I had met at a Pampered Chef party awhile back. Roger Carson excused himself to use the rest room.
Max Fox and I were discussing who we think Barack Obama will choose for a running mate, I asked Max Fox where he was at and he said he was at the food court at the Escondido mall. Turned out he was 10 feet away from us! At the same time Max Fox came over to my table, Roger Carson got back from the rest room. Roger and Max started fighting, apparently two years ago Roger had had an affair with Max's wife.
I told Roger and Max to stop fighting and then Roger and I resumed our discussion about Wenatchee, Washington. Max then told Roger and I that he would like to own a hockey franchise in either Walla Walla or Yakima, WA. but he didn't know how to go about it.
Roger and I and Max Fox went back to the Build A Bear store and helped Max pick out his own bear so that we would each have one. Max dressed his up like John Lennon. The three of us went outside and shared a clove cigerette that Roger Carson had in his shirt pocket. Roger apologized to Max for screwing his wife two years ago. Max forgave Roger but also said that any help in acquiring an existing franchise and relocating it to Walla Walla or Yakima would be very much appreciated.
