I agree with Bucket on that one loo. Call the restaraunt and have them give the Booster Club a call and we will make it right by them. Of course a Police report will be needed to prove it. That is if you aren't full of shit there loo.

I would like to know how you make $90,000 a year when all you do is post nasty messages about Topeka on GR all day. Do you have a real job???
You know what, St. Louis won the championship 2 years in a row, get over the shit with Topeka fans, be proud of your team and move on. You have been bitching for 3 days now! I'm starting to think that maybe your just JEALOUS!! Even though we didn't win the championship, we still have the respect for our players and we were still loud because we want them to know how proud they made us. Our arena has a family atmosphere. It's not like a little hole in the wall. Maybe someday you will get to experience the excitment that every Topeka RoadRunner fan feels when they step foot inside the EC on hockey night!!

Oh Lou just wants the last word, and with this bunch it's not gonna happen.

I wouldn't refer to Topeka fans as drunks, you should have seen your owner walking around Wednesday night.

Ooops.

Fixed.

Thanks, Kev--this may now be the most accurate most on the thread--no offense to anybody except St. Louse . . .

I think you'll find, MC, that Large Marge has an abundance of shit. She just doesn't have any facts.

By the way Louse, thanks for passing on the info about the great info about the wealth of Chesterfield. It allows me to ask the same question over again:

How come you cheap bastards can't buy decent hockey equipment?

And a new question:

How come you cheap bastards couldn't come up with a few more bucks to design the IcePlex right and make it 21st century cutting edge instead of cutting edge 1975?

What St. Lou, no answer for this one, if you are going to spout off about thinks then put all out there to be verified. But then, if you did that you know that all the posters on here would know how full of shit you really are.

I really want to see if you have any thing to answer Buckets question, which we all know you don't since it didn't happen.

BTW, you say the cops were called. Just in case you didn't know, all police calls are a mater of public record and are required to be posted. I have searched and found nothing at all in any police report regarding anything even remotely like the incident you stated at the restraunt for any time 5 day prior, through and to 3 days following the tournament.

So PLEASE, I am begging you, tell us how you are not full of complete bullshit on this one or anything else you have spewed off for the last 3 days.

Bucket I agree. Wink

If I can steal a (im)famous saying "can't we all just get along?" Really fellas no one has the whole truth in this one, everyone wants the last word and we will never solve anything here.

The Bandits won the Championship. All 3 of the other teams played great, with heart and competed to the best they could that weekend.

A Topeka fan came on GR earlier in the year and tried to say I was Lou ( I am not )...after awhile I stopped or limited my posting for the most part because I didn't like the tone of GR this year. All of the teams have their posters who rub people the wrong way. Last year I enjoyed GR and I never felt like anyone, including JT Razz , was picking on my favorite team or my favorite players. Somewhere along the way this board has lost the level of civility that seemed to be there last year. Clever, sometimes funny, sarcastic remarks were made but not the mean-spirited crap that has permeated the banter this year. Most posts whether praising kids for what they have accomplished or NHR seem to dengrate into a sh%t sling fest.

Guys this act is tiresome and I say thank you to most of you who have been supportive of me, my teams and my favorite player (you know who you are Clap ). I will look in from time to time but ...allow me one more quote from Jim Rome, "I am out."

You might be surprised that I agree.

I posted frequently here before December 2005, when the board reorganized or whatever . . . as you can see, I quickly registered on the new board . . . and disappeared.

I like discussion that furthers my interest in hockey. I'll take the humor and banter that goes with the territory. I guess I disappeared from here because I did not feel like I was getting anything out of it.

The discussion on save percentage on another thread was the kind of discussion I prefer. But having this battle with St. Louse--it is not what I prefer.

So I will not respond further to this idiot, unless it is to demand proof for accusations made by he/she/it.

Let's get back to hockey.

Right on.

I say we all, including Lou, move onto better discussions.

We only have a few months until the 2008-2009 campaign will be underway.

That itself is an exciting prospect!

St. Louis is #1 right now, celebrate. Hopefully your Coach will be around next year to try for a 3-peat.

What will happen with the divisions? Maybe St. Louis and Topeka will become division rivals.....

See, so many better things to discuss than the he said she said shit.

That's unfortunate. No excuse for that. Problem is, you have to wonder why? I don't condone vandalism, much like I don't condone dining and dashing or assault. I would venture a guess as to why the Kansas plates were picked out. Not acceptable behavior for sure, but for the fans from the 3 other teams at Nationals, they were all repulsed by the idiots in the stands for Topeker. I don't want to guess who might have done it, but I would venture it was most likely a response to the Topeker fan's behavior.
Who cares if someone's car got keyed? Half a step worse then a door ding.

I would care a lot. A car ding normally doesn't affect the paint like keying a car does. Also a car ding can be an accident, wind blew door open, keying a car is always vandalism. No excuse for vandalism ever.

I was in STL for the tournament and I heard very passionate roadrunner fans the entire time. Was it possible that some were over the line? Sure. as I am also certain that every team has a fan or two that goes over the line. Overall it was a great experience for everyone involved.

P.S- Thanks for the support Bucket. Too bad the guys ran out of gas. Glad we could make the championship game fun to watch.

This is why no team should get a day off. It gives them to much of an advantage. When teams are playing that physical and at that energy level a day off does make a huge difference. Congrats to the Phantoms for making it to the Championship game.

Don't misconsture my next comment but I think we could have had a real good shot to get it done if we weren't so short handed. Ringel and Houston out on D killed us and O'Kane slew-footed Blakey on Thursday and Blakey broke a bone in his leg. We played with 4 D and had a forward moving back to give the guys a blow. I am not sure if we could have beat them in that situation regardless of the day off, but it is wrong to give a team that kind of advantage.

To be honest, I really feel the day off St Louis enjoyed was earned, and justified. It's a reward available to whoever won the round-robin. It's no different than an NFL earning a first round bye. The Patriots only had to win 2 home games to get to the Super Bowl, while the NY Giants had to win three on the road. Fair? Sure. The Pats earned their cake postseason schedule, just as the Bandits earned their Saturday bye. It was up for grabs, and every team had an equal shot at it. St. Louis earned it. Plain and simple.

They also earned the right to be the "home team" in each game of the round robin by virtue of having the best record in the regular season. Was St. Louis beatable? Sure, everyone is, but in the end, they earned it on the ice the way all champions do. Congrats to the Bandits!
