And you know, Louse, you might want to go back and refresh your memory about some comments you made on the "Fairbanks / Topeka Game 5" thread. Maybe it's not strictly bragging about the Chesterfield whatever it is, but you do say enough to suggest you believe it's an improvement over Landon Arena:

"Our Zamboni actually works, as does our power."

This is where I reminded everyone of the great St. Louis power outage of 2006, unintentionally giving TargetDad the sweats from the memory of it. In any case, a truly great moment in the history of a great city. The only thing about this comment is that I'm surprised you showed restraint in not bragging that you actually have two Zambonis.

"From what I hear, this will be a first class event, held at a hockey rink, not a rodeo arena."

Certainly sounds like you're bragging about the Chesterfield Iceplex to me.

But then, your brain is so addled on Anheuser-Busch products that I suspect you have to be reminded constantly of what you need to do each day.

Ah, St. Louse, you are just degenerating further and further . . . Here's a few things for you to mull over:

Rule 110, USA Hockey: "Each rink must be provided with benches or seats to beknown as the “PENALTY BENCH.” It is preferable to have separate penalty benches for each team to be separated from each other and substantially separated from either players’ bench. The penalty bench(es) must be situated in the Neutral Zone."

They must say "preferable" so they can get you guys in under the rules. If you really believe most rinks have the penalty boxes on the same side of the ice as the players benches, you don't get out of the Iceplex very much.

And while we're at it, here's a nugget from Rule 109, regarding players' benches: "Where physically possible, each players’ bench shall have two doors in the Neutral Zone and all doors opening to the playing surface shall be constructed so that they swing away from the ice surface."

You know, if you guys were bright enough to put the penalty box on the opposite side of the arena, you would be able to have both doors from the players' benches open into the neutral zone. But since Frank Lloyd Wrong designed this place, guess that couldn't have happened.

I'll be back, Louse--meanwhile why don't you go over to East St. Louis for some crack entertainment . . .

So in other words, I again am correct and you are again wrong. Most rinks in the country have their benches set up this way. I know you don't get out much, beyond the wheat fields but that is the way it is almost everywhere. So what. Bottom line is you continue to whine, whimper and moan about things just like all the rest of the Topeker inbreds who attended. I heard an extremely funny story today at an establishment near the rink. The guy waiting my table saw my son's Bandits T-shirt. Conversation started about last week and the people who used this particular place. He told me how he was stiffed by 20 something people with "roadrunners" garb on. Class act you guys are, aren't you? I know, you can't lump all Topekerins into one bucket because 20 of you stiffed this guy or because several were not allowed to enter the rink because of intoxication, or the ones who were removed from the rink for their behavior or the ones who constantly abused the staff at the rink, or the ones who attacked members of the live band, or the guy who used his horn as a weapon against a MV lady or the constant bitching by the Topekerins throughout the weekend.

Jeez, you think they would be happy because the NAHL handed them a trip to Nationals when they gave them a 5 game homestand against Fairbanks. No No

Hardly. Not only don't you get out much, but you can't get the point that you guys can't do the "preferable" thing, not only in USA Hockey, but in other levels of hockey as well.

As for the story about the Topekans stiffing some fellow, you haven't said anything that gives me much reason to believe that you're capable of telling the truth, about this or much else. Enjoy your evening in East St. Louis . . .

No, you see, in the real hockey world, we expect our zam to work, we expect our power to work. Apparently you get that and it is something to brag about. I wasn't bragging, I was ripping the fact that you had problems there.

As far as the even being run first class, I think the beer tent with live bands every night and the other things like the Propsects to Pros game and the Banquet were all first class from what I witnessed and heard. The truth is everything I said can be proven, so keep on diggin yourself a hole, this is quite entertaining. By the way, in Topeker, how many locally raised D1 and pro hockey players do you have? I guess you could have a propects to pros rodeo event. Laughing

Hey, I was simply impressed that my tires weren't slashed at your lovely facility . . . for St. Louis that act of restraint is considered an act of class. Rolling Eyes

First Class, huh? Wow . . . you just repeat all these things until you finally believe them, don't you? Someone check to see if the moon is stuck somewhere around St. Louse. Evidently he's developed his own center of gravity . . . Shocked

I think ST LOUIS fans have a right to be pompous. They are the dedending champions. If you don't like it, beat 'em.

And just where did your Tornado end up this year? If you ain't in the dance, don't step onto the floor.

Congrats to the Roadrunners on a great season! Congrats to St. Louis on your victory.

WTF???? Ok, Wichita Thunder fan...coming in here trying to play this shit? The team in your own town sucks so bad you have to latch on elsewhwere.

BESIDES??? WHERE THE FUCK DID I SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THE TORNADO?

Get your no dance date ass off the floor too. What a stupid ass post. Shit, I made more Topeka games then you did.

Oh yeah...pay attention to your baseball team...

That community in which the rink is located (Chesterfield) has a medium income of over $90,000, compared to Topeker at under $35,000. Tire slashing? I seriously doubt it. You Topekerins wouldn't understand first class if someone stamped it on your forehead. Like I said, the fans from Topeker were a treat. I was stunned that their income was so high, but I guess it is about the same as their IQ......about 1/3 of the income here. Lets just say their behavior and IQ matched their medium income.... about 1/3 of what it is here. Moon

Sometimes I wonder if you really believe the shit you come up with.

Tell me, oh mighty one, if they are so hoity toity there in Chesterfield, you'd think that they would have a real facilty for their beloved team with their 700 or so "fans".....

Keep drinking the Kool-aid my friend, we are still laughing at you.

Your need to keep dragging this on proves our point of your myopic view of the world.

It's sad really, you revel in a Championship that most people in that town probably don't know or care about.

I can't tell you how many hockey parents that brought their kids to the Iceplex for practice that asked aloud "What's going on here?"

Nice.

Enjoy your Championship it's deserved by your team. They worked hard to get it.

Kind of like the NAHL handing the Nationals to St. Louis by giving them a 4 game homestand eh?

As for the other bullshit you spouted about the Topeka Fans, it's just that. If you weren't right there, you really don't know shit. Were there incidents, yes there were, but you only have one side of it.
I also noticed not one word from you about the St. Louis fans hitting our players in the head, grabbing their sticks and hitting our stick boys as they were coming off the ice. Hell Kelly Chase didn't like anyone saying something to him about it either. Also if 20 Topeka fans stiffed a restaurant by not paying their bill why weren't the Police called? We would have been easy to find. After all they knew where we would be.

That's unfortunate. No excuse for that. Problem is, you have to wonder why? I don't condone vandalism, much like I don't condone dining and dashing or assault. I would venture a guess as to why the Kansas plates were picked out. Not acceptable behavior for sure, but for the fans from the 3 other teams at Nationals, they were all repulsed by the idiots in the stands for Topeker. I don't want to guess who might have done it, but I would venture it was most likely a response to the Topeker fan's behavior.

No problem, just don't be stumbling drunk, don't be vulger, don't dine and dash, don't cuss out workers for doing their job, don't attack other fans and don't expect us to put up with your crap again.

I believe they were called, according to the waiter. I have no idea what came of it, but I think some of the bill was paid, but much was not.

As far as the St. Louis fans doing anything, they didn't even sit near your bench. So, please try to come up with something factual you low life. Maybe if you were sober you would have had a better recollection of the week.

I said as they were coming off the ice shit for brains. They had to pass through your fans to get to the locker room. You have no idea what became of the bill? You said they walked out on it. I thought you had the whole story, but come to find out you don't. I wonder what other crap you just made up.

Well now is the time to say BS!!!!!

I sat right in front of both Mrs Coopers his wife and mother and talked to his mom for awhile...

She loved our enthusiasm we gave her one heckle when I asked the close part of our group to yell hey Cooper you suck three times and then turn to her to ask for forgivness she chuckeled.

Gave me a why I said we had to she stayed with us the whole game and even after oour fans were kicke3d out and got back in she came down and I introduced her to Mary they talked and hugged so I don't think it was anywhere as bad as you have made it out to be!

Just like in Topeka your Security is over zelious and ready to jump for all the small things!

Chill and enjoy your teams Championship, Cal played great in Net for you and should be commended!
