At least I did see the RR goal as it happened. It was made possible by Kamrass making a laser, thread the needle pass from the corner to Hartmann right on the doorstep. Bartus really had no chance.

2-1 MV on a great move by Graham down low. Pass made to him as he moved in freely with speed down the slot.

Hirschfeld set up the goal, as he gathered the puck as it was cleared from the RR zone and he moved it right back in before the RR could recover. He then made the pass to Graham.

2-1 MV after 2. RR sprung Hartmann on a long pass with about :30 left. He was able to rip a shot, but it went off the post. RR have got to generate some offense and more puck possession. MV is playing good D, but the RR aren't making them work that hard. The Phantoms really moved the puck well in that period.

7 minutes into the 3rd, and the RR are showing more energy on offense. However, MV is doing a good job of keeping everything wide to the outside.

3-1 MV with 9:40 left. Not looking good for Topeka.

Wow. 4-1 MV. Winter and Boeckman on a beautiful give and go, with Winter flying right down the slot with no RR near him. Merriam did what he could, but Winter just had way too much space and time.

RR D has been severely lacking in the 2nd and 3rd periods. They have been caught going up ice way too many times, and the Phantoms have really taken advantage.

MV has simply looked like the team that wants it more since the RR scored the first goal of the game.

Empty netter for MV. Congrats to the Phantoms for making the championship game.

MV did a good job the entire game moving the puck out of their zone and through neutral ice. Lots of credit especially to all their forwards for that.

In the 2nd period, Topeka had no answer defensively for Hirschfeld and Graham. Those two pretty much controlled the action. Offensively, the RR could not solve Bartus when they had chances, and most of the time they did not generate good chances.

In the 3rd, MV played really good D, and Bartus was really good. The RR had to start taking chances, and the Phantoms made them pay.

Should be a very intense game tomorrow.
