It's called a rebuttal. You keep throwing out these claims (without specific examples) about how I conducted my blog, and I'm providing these examples to show that you are full of shit.

As for Sminny today, yeah, I don't know much, but it doesn't take a genius to realize the fanbase has become jaded and politicized, such that it may not adequately get behind the new franchise.

Quote:
i will give you more credit than ryan, you are better than him in the way you jump the gun when you need to tell secrets that have been told to you in confidence and you are way more evasive. you would be a good spy selling foreign secrets. ryan is on his way out. he loves to create new names on here and post bullshit.

What things have I been told in confidence? Hell for the longest time someone in the NAHL was anonymously (willselfdestruct.com) forwarding me league conference call meeting agendas and minutes for the purpose of posting them. Most of the time I didn't forward them along to the blog or any forum. Maybe that's why I stopped getting them.

Quote:
Information posted without verification from the source being released w/o their consent or based on rumors and hear say from a 3rd party (like ryan is famous for when he voices his opinions)

Okay, now you are mixing apples and oranges. News/information is NOT opinions. Do you not know the difference? You can have both in the same post on the same topic. That's called adding value. You may not agree with the opinion that goes with the news/info, but that goes with the territory.

Rarely did I post 3rd party info without backing it from another source. When I did it was from *very* trusted sources that have never burned me.

Again, when was I ever wrong about a fact posted on the blog?

Quote:
are just ways for these bloggers to feel important. Big words for small men. Both these guys USED to have meaningful Blogs written to provide actual information gleaned from the horses mouths BUT without their stupid opinions inevitably causing them to shut down . Keep to the facts and quit the rumors, name calling and b/s and junk. GROW UP.

Does anyone not in Minnesota know what this guy is talking about? Seriously, give some examples or shut the fuck up.

I have a very good sense of how important my blog was before I stopped writing, because I saw the positive feedback that I regularly received from players, parents, coaches, GMs, and owners.

Maybe you're just someone I pissed off. If so, then too bad... get in line. If a man is truly known by the enemies he's made, then I stand behind what I've written.

Marc,

IMO, Southern Minnesota fans are sensitive as to what is posted about their hockey irregardless of its about a player, coach, owner, or fans.

IMO, Minnesotans truly love their hockey. Can you blame them?

Fangers, you are a smart hockey parent and have solid judgement as to how to separate the bull crud from the real information, even when posted by a long time blogger.

Good luck in the upcoming season.

Thanks, say hi at at game if you like...beverage of your choice on me.

re: AL - I hope that they do well, for the players, parents, fans and the league's sake. Thankfully it wasn't an option we had to resort to. To a parent, it does raise a red flag as something to be concerned about, and the owner's track record not the best.

re: Bandits - no doubt, have a good organization in place with good track record and I had my doubts about Simon from the start (in terms of how committed he was to coaching at this level)...

Umm, moot? We already know that most teams/leagues are in fact mute, that's why I started blogging.

The history of the franchise thus far (and Soskin's past in general, see - CEHL: Traverse City Enforcers; CHL: Nashville Nighthawks) would disagree with you. This is not high school hockey, where the core of the roster has played together and a new coach late in the summer is not detrimental. At this point I'd put the over/under on their wins this season at 20 games, and I think I'm being generous with that.

Really... the two-time defending champions are BETTER without Jon Cooper or Regg Simon? That really worked in Frisco post Curtale, didn't it?

Fangers has been a careful observer of junior hockey for about as long as I have been, maybe longer. That sets him far apart from most folks here.

IMO; you are sinking to a level beneath you by responding in an angry manner that is not worthy of your reputation.

PS your Kill myself message is not funny nor professional.

Cooper advanced and his send off was done with full support. Good luck Jon. Simon took the cowards way out. Time in the frozen tundra will do him good.

Wow, 4 pages and no one answered the original question other than the coach getting fired which was only news to a few.

I guess no news is just that, no news. On the other hand I guess it would be hard for a dormant team to make very much news.

Marc may be the biggest K-I-A on this board, but I have yet to see him post incorrect information where the business aspect of junior hockey is concerned. Not to mention that he posts under his real name- unlike some of the pretenders out there who only seem interested in skewering anyone they can. Leastways, he's the guy to whom I direct all my questions. I'm sure I'll get some backup from a few of the old-timers here on that one.

Oh yeah-- Marc also knows when to keep something OFF of GR, which is a talent a few others should learn.

Perfectly put, Hip! Clap

Btw, Answerdude, the Tornado are on hiatus for the upcoming season. What more do you want to know?

Apparently, you didn't read ALL 4 pages...........

Alright, I split some of the crap out of here. As always, probably missed some of it, but the thread should be a little cleaner anyway.

The crap is in the Pit, if anyone wants to continue the discussions.

Thanks Kev...

Your efforts are appreciated by most...

I'm sure the idiots you sent to the pit might think a little differently...

But hell they're gone, so how cares... Very Happy
