The Eyes of Texas...

Somebody slap some skates onto Vince Young's feet just to see if the kid can skate. That was one amazing performance that will go down in history as one for the ages. How many lessons can we take from that game and apply to hockey, heck we can apply them to life. Don't give up. Don't hope for success, expect it. Down by 12 (or two goals) with half a quater (period) left. Heck, we got em right where we want em!

How about from the otherside? 4th and 2... you know you can't give the ball back to young...you have to go for it. Gutsy call. I like it. Go for the championship, play to WIN, do not play not to lose. Got to love it.

I look for this years NAHL playoffs to go about the same way. Play hard, play to win.

Good Job Texas...Good Job USC. Thanks for an excellent Championship!

Young's performance was one for the ages. I really hope he comes back next year and go for a repeat. Everyone could take a lesson or two from that Texas team by not EVER quiting and not getting down on yourself. Great job Texas the Big 12 should be proud.

That would be great for Texas, but I think Vince would have a lot to lose and little to gain by coming back. If his ultimate dream is to win the Heisman Trophy, then I guess he should go back, but as far as I am concerned, he has nothing left to prove. Vince, go get your career started, make you some cash and take care of your family.

1cp that is so true. It will be hard for him to turn down those millions of gauranteed dollars, and I am not saying he should. I'm just saying it would be great for the Texas Football Program and their fans if he did.

As much as I would love for Vince to come back, he really has nothing else left to prove and could possibly hurt himself in his draft rank for 2007. Look at Matt Leinart, wins the Heisman, wins the National Championship and he has fallen in the rankings.

Vince needs to haul-ass and not look back. Not only will he benefit but so will my Aggies. I was pulling for USC but HOLY COW...what a performance, what a freakin' unbelievable "try and stop me you MF'rs".

I admit I switched over to the Stars game after SC scored that last TD, but I saw the end. What a game!

Texans should trade Carr to the Raiders for a pick and a O lineman. Draft the local born and bred Vince Young now. Heck, the kid played a huge number of games at the Astrodome as a high schooler. As far as marketing goes, that would be a no-brainer.

I like Young for the Texans much more the Bush. As of now, it would be hard to go wrong with any of the three (Vince, Matt, or Reggie) but I'd have to take Vince because he changes the game. Imagine the Texans with him, tossing the ball to Johnson and Gaffney with a decent backfield now. Get a pick and a vet lineman for Carr.

I especially like the idea of Gary Kubiak as the coach. He has taken a number of unknown backs over the years and made something of them in Denver as the O-Cord for the last 11 years. Not to mention he is an ex QB and has done well with that Elway fellow and made lemonaide out of the lemon that Jake was.

Hockeywise, this game could be used to inspire your team before a game. What a video to put onto the team bus on the way to Frisco.
