But did it catch on fire on the rink? Bandit zamboni has. Beat that.

Leave the carriage down as it crosses the lip and tears off the rear end... Fort Worth Fire, March 1993.

The media didn't cover this (and for good reason)... but the Zamboni ran over the Pens' mascot back in February...

Ok, since we are dragging up old CHL Zamboni stories -

I have been trying to find some story about this forever, just to reassure myself that I did not make it up. Wasn't there an incident in the CHL where the Zamboni broke down, the guy that drove it got in a fight with someone else and left, and they had to get one of the visiting players to drive the Zamboni for the second intermission? I was thinking it was an Indy player that drove the Zamboni.

Does anyone remember that? Or did I really just make it up?

That was the incident I was referring to in Texarkana.....but I thought it was Tulsa....Who knows, there were a lot of Adult Beverages consumed in those Border City Days.....

I have, no one remembered it. That kind of fed my fears that I had just made it up.

Where was it that the astro turf got stuck to the ice and we had to cancel a game and play it the next day? Was that Texarkana or was it Tulsa? Maybe it was Fort Worth?

Tulsa. No doubt.

It actually was the plywood they used to cover the ice and put down the astroturf. The wood was left on for quite a while and it became bonded to the ice. They worked on trying to get it off until about 9:30 or 10:00 that night, then postponed the game.

I drove all the way to Tulsa and ended up getting to see Erin Brockovich at a theater in Tulsa rather than hockey. Not a good trip.

We're saving that for Game 5. Hope bucket or MC have their zamboni license! Very Happy

I was going to say that originally, but didn't want JT to think someone other than him was blowing a tranny.
