I was thinking more along the lines of the ad in the paper saying 3 bedroom 2 bath house in good neighborhood. No pets, smokers or hairy butt pokers. $650/month with $650 security deposit.

yes, i have a hairy butt, but i have no interest in hairy butt poking. in fact, i have consistently said that i wish i could get into gay sex so that i would have a much bigger population of potential sex partners. unfortunately, gay sex just doesn't appeal to me at all (damn my luck!!). except for watching lesbians, that is. hell, if i wasn't so old i might consider a sex change so i could be a lesbian. but that's for a different thread.

1. So a liberal judge can overturn what the majority of voters in California wanted.
2. You can actually choose whom you rent your house to. If you take several applications, you can rent to the people you trust are going to first, pay their rent and second take care of your property.

1) the reason we have to have courts is to prevent the majority from trampling on the rights of minorities. and to protect individual rights from the tyranny of the majority. would you support segregated schools if a majority in some state, county, city voted for it? how about slavery? mandatory bible study in public schools?
2) no, fred should not have the right to discriminate based on race, gender, etc. he can rent to anyone he wants to rent to, but once he puts his house up for rent in the public domain it is covered by the laws that prevent discrimination.
