Todd Chisnell becomes Amarilllo Gorillas New GM
AMARILLO, TX – The Amarillo Gorillas of the Central Hockey League (CHL) have announced today that they have hired Todd Chisnell as the teams new General Manager for the upcoming 2007-2008 season. Chisnell, formally the General Manager of the Lubbock Cotton Kings, comes to Amarillo after spending the last eight seasons involved in professional hockey and the last four in the front office in Lubbock. The Gorillas begin their sixth season in the CHL in October.
“I’m excited and honored to become a member of the Amarillo Gorillas family,” Chisnell said. “The ownership group has been tremendous in our discussions to bring me to Amarillo and with the continued support of the fans and the local businesses, this coming year promises to be another exciting one for Gorillas fans everywhere.” Chisnell is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, graduated high school in Rhode Island and received his Bachelors and Associates degrees in Radio, TV, Film Management, with a minor in Journalism from the University of Louisiana in Monroe, Louisiana.
Gorilla’s Owner Shaughn O’Grady added, “This ownership group is excited to have Todd join the staff as a key member of this organization. His experience in game operations, corporate partnerships, community relations and ticket sales can only be viewed as positive step forward for the future of this franchise.”
Season ticket specials have been extended through the end of June to celebrate Chisnell’s arrival. Chisnell said, “We need the support of this community to purchase season tickets and we have added game packs to the ticket options to give the City of Amarillo the unique entertainment opportunity the whole family can enjoy.”
