What did French say

I do not believe what he said in the article about Clayton. Here let me quote it

"One of the few positives is that it wasn't more serious than it was," French said.
French said he doesn't doubt that Clayton, a nine-year pro who has played in Wichita his entire career, is serious about retiring.
"And I don't blame him," French said. "I know Travis and his wife were both very shaken by what happened. As a marquee player in this league, he has the right to expect a reasonable amount of protection.
"

We have been saying that all fucking year and he has not done shit about it. How in the hell can he come out and say that now.

Does this mean we are still looking for a tough guy or is it still in the bullshit mode.

I don't think French was talking about the type of protection that is labled a Goon or a Thug. He's talking about protection from the League from those assholes like Fleck, you know, the kind that do psycho shit on the ice. Those type of players need to be dealt with, and dealt with harshly!

And, yes, there aren't many tough guys out there. Talk to any minor league coach. I recently spoke to one who's not in this league, and he's having the same freakin' problem.

Protection from the league? How can you be protected after the fact. Protection from the league would be if Fleck is banned from playing so he is not in the position to hurt ANY other players in the league, not just "protect the Thunder/Clayton".

But of course we know that chances of that happening are nil. I will be surprised if he gets 10 games.

If French really gives a damn wether Clayton comes back he'll put the "goldenboy" on the trading blocks for a Schultz or Ramsey type player. Hell if I was Clayton I'd be ready to quit if I had to carry mr. one-way all the time.

So you are saying you would trade the top scorer n the league for a tough guy?? Not sure the Thunder would be a better off without Blaznek....I can see trying to aquire a tough guy but I disagree that we should trade Joe.....assuming that is the one you call Goldenboy"

The last time I looked he lead the team in minus column, in the games we've lost he's a minus 12 no one else is even close to being that bad on defense. He flat turns into the disappering man if he doesn't have Clayton and Duda setting him up, and both of their numbers would be way up if the didn't have to babysit him and had a little room on the ice.

Thanks to Taos we have a picture of him "standing" up for his team mates.

Doing anything but scoring is below his highness.

the league should make and example of this to say they are not going to tolerate this kind of thing! especially after they said they are "CRACKING DOWN" on this.
