I have seen a few comments about how the Thunder has the ability to play defense and is not. If this is the case then that problem falls on the coach. Its his job to motivate the players to play. For some reason we have gone from an agressive team to a passive team and its killing us on D and really putting the goalies to the test. We can only hope during the time off that Frenchie lit a fire under the boys asses. The time for the come to jesus talk is over and time for the "There's the unemployment line talk. Loseing a couple is bad but its even worse when its against teams in your division that are behind you in the standings.

Sorry , not gonna happen. Doug won't quit his job at LDF and they have not shown interest in holding it for him. The waters have been tested.

Plus the Oilers would need to call him... and they believe hockey players should call them.

Now go back and read his quote again, he in fact never said that Handy was fat and out of shape.

I have tried to give French the benefit of the doubt. I was actually excited from what I read in the preseason, and even more so when the Thunder came out strong to start the season. However, the Thunder defense sucking is nothing new. It's been going on all season, since the exhibition games. The only way the Thunder have been winning (in most cases) is because the forwards have been scoring a lot of goals. I understand French didn't really get to pick his team before the season started, but he's had plenty of time to make changes. If he doesn't have the balls to release/trade any players, he should be out on his ass as well! I'm fucking sick of seeing our defense giving up breakaways, not clearing the puck, and leaving opposing players wide open right in front of the fucking net! Every other team has made changes, the best French managed was bringing in Kuntz while we had two guys on IR. Nothing against Cox, but I can't see keeping a guy on the roster for as long as we did while he was injured, when he hadn't yet proven anything of himself other than the fact that he has a glass jaw!
Sometimes the offense is going to have a hard time finding the net. If your fucking defense can't stop the other team from scoring, you are going to look pathetic! French needs to make some changes in the roster and learn how to motivate this team, or get the fuck out!

I completely agree with you about Cox....sort of. French can't cut him while he is on IR if he wants to be a legit recruiter in the future. If word gets out "don't go to Wichita because if you get hurt you will just be released" then some players will avoid Wichita.

With that being said, I don't think he should be here much longer!
