What percentage

of the kids who get free lunch in school have parents that get food stamps?

64% ??

I thought it would have been higher. I was even thinking that a kid whos parents get food stamps is probably 43x more likely to get a free lunch.

THAT'S ONE PROGRAM I THINK IS WELL WORTH IT!!

KIDS NEED TO EAT...not their fault their parents are on welfare!!

I also like the program the local TV station does where they send food home with kids on Fridays for the weekends.

I think feeding the kids is a great idea. I think they should feed them breakfast, lunch and dinner. Then don't give the parents food stamps. What are the parents doing with the foodstamps if the kids still need a lunch?

What gets me you have these kids who get free lunches parents receive food stamps or a card now because the perants cannot afford to buy food to fed thier children but the parents have a nice car and not talking about something cheap or a old car with a lift kit costum paint job and with $5000 worth of tires and rims.Then they have cell phones with every attachment they can buy.

but that would interfere with the adults' ability to remain ready to work for the corporations who rely on a large, ready pool of low-wage, at-will, on-demand workers and would fuck up the gov't subsidy to those corporations. in fact, it could undermine the entire economic structure that depends on gov't to control and keep enough of the population in poverty in order to serve those corporate interests. believe me, they will cut out the free school lunch program long before they interfere with public asistance to the point of endangering that workforce.

You don't think those parents would go find a job when they got hungry enough?

talking about the exception to the rule in order to stereoptype an entire population is a fav pastime of racists and bigots of all stripes. you do it well, but it no longer fools people.

Not steroptyping ,only making a statement on what I see .I grew up in a area where it was a nice place to live but now it's ghetto,why is that ? My point jc if that parent can buy high price cars ,cell phone why can't they make sure their children are fed 1st.

We now have a wellfare culture. Some darkie families are on ther 4th generation of recipients.

Hey, they swipe them if it rains too much. They swipe them if somebody gets a picture of the cops beating up another darkie. I'm sure if the government cut off wellfare there would be all kinds of big screens stolen.

the homeless people will steal big screens? 1. how are they gonna watch t.v under a bridge? and 2. they may be watching t.v but they will still be hungry?

Alot of them wouldn't. I know a woman who went to a Church to try and get some Free Food. They told her she wasn't eligible, for some reason. Did she look for a Job? Don't be silly. She sat there and Cried and told them one sob story after another untill basically they gave her some food so she would leave. Then a friend of mine drove her to the Vet so she could pick up the $84 worth of Cat Medicine for her 15 year old cat and then went home and smoked up whatever Marijuana she had left.

You probably think I'm making that up.
