Sterns is the worst. Cruickshank is the best.

Is there any reason why you didn't include Fred Lecuyer?

I was torn between Tudor and Sterns, but went with Sterns.

With Tudor he will lose control and thing get funky sometimes, Strens thinks people come to watch him ref, he really sucks.

I would definitely call DePuydt a close third.

And who voted Cruickshank? He's the best we've got!

Kaval

The worst we have seen in FW is Kaval. Players from both teams have gotten injured on nights he was in charge. The officials wonderful leader was in the house one night and called his work "OUTSTANDING"...what a sad state of matters in this league.

Sterns does think people are there to watch him though. As much as it is frustrating to watch, I don't recall the games being dangerous like when Kaval is in charge...Sterns just likes to "make a difference" in a game which is simply wrong...

Bugs fan. They'll never forgive Cruickshank for allowing them to blow a 3-1 lead in the 2004 finals.

Last year ol' du-wayne at the office told me that Tudor was one of the best in the league.

While I will say that Tudor and Sterns are almost equally bad, I have seen Tudor completely lose control of the game more than once. ie, fans decorating the ice with liter, team owner and GM hunting Tudor down to "discuss" things.

I have sent my letter of recommendation to the AHL asking them to consider using the CHL's two best referees. Laughing

After watching a player lie on the ice unconscious, face covered in blood, and against the boards for what seemed like two minutes, while he let play continue on the other end of the ice, I had to vote for Kaval.

Why isn't there an "all of the above" option?

Sterns is the worst ref in the league. He calls penalties when there isn't one, and he misses obvious ones especially high sticking ones.

Everyone of these dicks have one thing they hit on, and hit on it to extreme excess. And even then, they aren't consistent with that. Some games they'll call, call, call. And then the next, they'll let them play. They are ALL inconsistent. They ALL suck. It just depends on what you want more. A guy like Stern who calls all the interfernce. Or... a Fluro who doesn't call enough of the obvious stuff, to the point he loses ALL control of the game, and someone gets put on IR, or the suspended list. Neither one is benificial to the game play.

crukshank has a bad case of rabbit ears. if it wasn't for that, he'd be pretty good.

I am surprised Depudyt hasn't received more from the Wichita fans. He has cost us many games. Was he not the ref during the Clayton injury game when he just lost it?

I'm starting to think, by the poll results, that Mark Lemelin must have not called a single game all season. Wink
