it is tragic, and just one more example of the 43X dynamic in action.
btw-i usually don't act as a juror in legal cases unless i was actually on the jury and heard the evidence. or at least have enough info to make an informed decision. one thing i do know, people usually don't settle unless their lawyers think a trial could result in a much worse outcome.
