Good post, PUF and an excellent post. here comes a Broken Record because no matter how much we say it, it keeps happening for us to say it... but these guys aren't playing like their jobs are on the line.

The Thunder did come out better last night than they have been. While I don't blame the officiating for the loss, it did seem early on that he was desperate to give the fans a chance to throw the teddy bears. Or, perhaps he just wanted to see a bunch of half naked boys running around the arena. By the way, am I the only one who finds it creepy that Tulsa celebrates a goal by having little boys undress?
After a couple of power play goals by Tulsa, the Tunder just seemed to give up. Lardner still needs to learn to pass the fucking puck! Fairbarn continues to piss me off. He made a couple of big plays last night and then would turn right around and let a breakaway go. I don't think Lizotte has made a pass to a Thunder player all season... But he's made a lot of perfect passes to the opposing team. Maybe we should try to talk our opponents into wearing Thunder jerseys so he won't give them the puck as much. The Thunder finally showed up about halfway through the third. Too little, too late. At least they closed the gap in the scoring for us. I really think Liebel could've turned the game around enough for a Thunder win. I would, just once, like to be in Tulsa for a Thunder victory.
There is a bright side: No matter how much the Thunder may suck, at least they haven't resulted to allowing the mascot and fans to bang on the glass by the opposing goalie WHILE THE PUCK IS IN PLAY! I guess that shows how much faith Tulsa has in their team. Volp (and Duda) did a great job of ignoring it.
p.s. Is there way to get some cleats for Murphy. He seems to have a hard time staying up on ice skates.

more than creepy - the kids without their shirts on are ridiculous...

this started from one dude that used to attend games and remove his shirt and twirl it. he also performed this "ho-down" during a break in the game to the "cotton eyed joe" song...this dude proclaimed himself "party boy" on the tulsa board and it stuck as the announcer would actually point this clown out from time to time..

kids caught on to this act and now they are referred to as "mini party boys" - danged clever, eh? I actually reside near tulsa and go to most of the games - I also attend several Wichita games as I have lots of family there and up there often. Oddly enough my wife & I consider ourselves fans of both Tulsa & Wichita...

But we both roll our eyes at the shirtless activities. This crap has been debated on the tulsa board til it has been beat to death but I assure you not all tulsa fans are down wth these antics

Well 5, I guess if all you have to grip about is shirtless kids running around, a cheating ref so he could watch the flying teddy bears Rolling Eyes and a mascot that bangs on the glass we are doing ok down there in T town! Laughing Sheesh!

Again, I don't blame the ref for the loss, but I think the early calls were a bit one sided. The Thunder obviously didn't show up until too late in the game. Sadly, I didn't think Tulsa did all that great either, which just makes the loss more pathetic on the part of the Thunder. I still stand by my comment that the pedophile bait is creepy, and that your mascot should practice better sportsmanship. In the KC, fans are warned about banging on the glass and can be kicked out for it. I have yet to see Thunder Dog attempt to distract the other team during play the way your (I think beaver) does on a regular basis.

Beaver?! Spit If it were a beaver we would NEVER be able to keep Plumbgd off it!! Crack Up

I guess I just don't think that way about the kids, they are just celebrating, no more and no less. So, if you see boys running about in the summer without shirts or at the water park/pool do you still feel the same way? I have been to a couple other rinks and banging on the glass was not frowned upon? Question Of course, those "other" rinks allowed and even encouraged their players to fight too. Surprised Wink
