Rajans blog
--- I'm sure Rosco wasn't too happy about blowing a 2-0 lead after eight minutes and losing at Shreveport. Wonder if he was looking for a car rental place afterward. Also, plenty of bad blood at the end and words exchanged afterward on Roy Lang's blog.
-- Impressive win for Lubbock at Colorado after Dashney's pointed remarks on Friday night.
-- Can anyone figure out Amarillo? Collapse at Corpus on Thursday, big win at Rio on Friday and then Austin has them down 3-0 by the game's midpoint on Saturday. Like the Rayz, the Bats put the clamps on Hahn after the Bees let him and Wray run wild.

No mincing words
Some interesting postgame comments from a couple of CHL coaches after their teams' games on Friday:
Chris Dashney:
"We had been playing really well, and somewhere along the way in the last two days, it all went south on us. We just didn't compete. We were getting knocked off the puck, we didn't hit them at all and we only hit when it was convenient for us. That was as thorough a beating as you'll find in this league. . . . Give credit where credit's due. Tulsa came in here and, boy, we were out-coached, outplayed, everything."
Tracy Egeland:
"That's the toughest loss I've ever had. I'm kind of dumbfounded considering they're the team that played (Thursday) night. You get a goal a minute into the third and … they're doing it their way and they're losing. It's not everybody, but when we play our game plan, we're successful. We're making mistakes on little things that are turning around for goals for them."
Hey look other teams had a bad weekend!? Colorado lost at home to Lubbock too. Asutin lost at home today to Youngstown and had no penalty minutes.

Chief I am the one that posted what was there and I will stand by it.
How many times have I heard we are working on someone from Euorpe, we have a big guy in the wings, we are working on this we are working on that and it seems that all we end up with are rejects from other teams.
By your own and the coaches and Pressoen's for that matter we need some size and toughness. You know what I would not care if we had to push the guy out on the ice if he could kick someone's ass.
You have been told of two or three players that would play here but the excuse was they come out of retirement, or we won't trade unless it is an upgrade. To all that I say crap. Anything for Bain would be an upgrade so why do we wait for 6 weeks?
The one that I told you about you said he just came out of retirement, bullshit he has been in pro hockey 3 years and he was 26 years old. Oh well Ft. Worth sigend him and he would have played for the minimum.
At least he would have been a player that could play his regular shift instead of paying and player to set the bench.
You know and I know that there are several players on this team that want out. Well why would that be. I would suggest that we have to many players playing for the back of their jerseys instead of the front.
As for info that is a joke, I do appreiciate what you say but as of late I have to take it as maybe or maybe not because most of the time it sounds like a broken record.
Just as you posted today. We are working the phones very very very hard.
Hell go to the juniours and get someone there is a lot of kids down there that want a shot. At least they could play most of their shifts.
I still believe that French has an ego problem and his chemistry with this team sucks. He is not a motivater or he would be showing it durring the games.
As for losing two home games, that does not bother me at all, I knew we would lose some but lets look at the team that went from first in the league overall to sixth in the league overall.
That same team is only 5 points ahead of Tulsa right now and losing ground.
All the rest of these teams have traded and "upgraded while we sat on our collective asses and let them pass us by.
Like it or not, look at the over all. You can post stats all you want about how great everything is but you know and I know that we are slipping down into that funnel and if something is not done pretty quick we will fall out of the playoffs with a big fat thud.
Where is the in your face, relentless pressure style of hockey that was talked about at the first of the year.
What happened to that mean, nasty gritty D-Man Lizzote (turttle boy)
Again we have been promised a bill board and were given a postage stamp, and nothing but bullshit since then.

The Thunder are talented enough to be higher in the standings than what they are. I think we all would agree on that. That being the case, where does the blame go? Can we blame Joel? I personaly don't think so. It's not his job to put together a team. Presson? Nope. Not his job either. Who's job is it to recruit, tweak, and win? |
fuckin top shelf post, Fag.
I think I will copy this, and just paste it when needed.

I agree with you 100% Beamer, that being said I do not blame anyone but the coach and that is ultimately where the blame goes.
But I am so damn tired of hearing all the bullshit.
Chief and the rest of the front office swear we are doing fine. Look at the last 15 games home and away.
We were promised a tough in yoour face team and now the front office is in damage control mode because that is not what we have and they can't fix the problem.
I am glad about the attendance but you would think that if we can't win the game we could at the very least put on a good show for the crowd, instead of taking an asspumping all night long two nights in a row.
