Secondly, it's not a matter of fairness, it's a matter of poor planning on the part of the guys that are supposed to be responsible for taking care of these things on behalf of the bandit players and fans..If you all want to be mad at anyone, you should be mad at them for not making the necessary arrangements to ensure that we had ice for the playoffs! It's that simple!

OK, let me get this straight. The Bandits Front Office is supposed to reserve playoff time a year ahead of time. What should they have done reserve the whole month of April?

A year out they do not know where they will be seeded in the playoffs to be able to reserve the ice. Add to that the fact that the league doesn't announce the playoff format until the middle of the season and there is no way to schedule playoff games a year out. Unless you are clairvoyant and can read the tea leaves.

No response, Moe? She must've had to go because her mom had dinner on the table.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I don't live on this board. Besides, the Mavs were television last nite.

I really don't care how many road trips you and your friends made. You are still missing the point and I'm not going to explain it to you again. You obviously have some kind of burn on for me for some reason that I don't know. But, enjoy making an ass of yourself.

What happened? We went from everyone being on the same side and agreeing no matter who our team is to an all out war. When did this post go from "WTF !?!?!?!" to "I'm gonna kick your ass?"

To Moe Bandits - the ice was not "taken away for an RV show"... the bandits management evidently didn't think they'd be in the playoffs or they would've reserved the barn before the rv'ers did...think about it. I'll say it again - don't believe everything that you're told!

1234, I realize that literally the ice was not "taken away". Give me a little credit. But to us fans, that's exactly what it feels like. I also realize that you are taking up for your "friends" with the FSFA. That's fine. They do catch alot of heat around here and you can thank Meri Smith for that. I'll admit that relations between the FSFA and TBO have been much better since she "resigned" *koffkoff*. But this really is a slap in the face to your top paying tenant. I still don't understand why a compromise cannot be worked out with the RV'rs. Surely even they would understand if given the WHOLE picture of what playoff hockey at this level means to the players.

As another poster mentioned, how are the Bandits to foresee when playoffs are going to occur. Say we blocked off a couple of weekends in April and didn't make them. The FSFA would, I assume, still look to the TBO for payment of those dates, even though no hockey was played. How is that fair?

Obviously, someone told the Bandits organization at some point that we could schedule games in "The Barn" on the 2nd weekend in April. I absolutely cannot see the Bandits organization announcing to the public that we would have home ice for the first round of the playoffs and selling advance tickets for these games without making sure that everything was in order. Somebody definitely dropped the ball in this fiasco, but I can't see it being the TBO unless Fay J just dreamed that the FSFO gave him the go ahead to schedule games for that weekend. It is a crock of shit and from this point forward, I will never support the FSFO in any way except when it is Texarkana Bandits hockey related.

Hate to admit it but that's almost exactly the message I left for the "FSFA Director" yesterday. Don't plan on supporting anything there except what's hockey related. (Please bring on the new arena!!)
